Im not quite every 12 months but I do keep ontop of the windscreen, it must be like wiping it with a bush after 5.
Wiperblades, literally google wiperblades and you'll get wiperblades uk. I always buy mine from there, Valeo everytime.

I suspect the wipers on my car were the original 5yr old ones as they had the flexibility of plastic and squealed like mad and juddered when used. I fitted the Valeos and cleaned the windscreen with AG glass polish but still there was a squealing. However, after a few hundred miles that disappeared and they've been fine ever since, right down to -17c last winter. I'm guessing there were some stubborn deposits from the old degrading wipers left on the screen. You can get more aggressive polishes if needed from the likes of Clean Your Car etc.

I have replaced my wipers few months ago. The car is 5 y/o and had OEM ones. I do not know if those were factory ones, as I have not owned the car from new, but I do think they were, as the previous owners did not treat the car well and I doubt they would have spent a fortune for OEMs that the car had when I acquired it.
So to replace the old - I have bought BOSCH wipers from amazon as the reviews were good, but my experience was not pleasant - the left wiper did annoy me with juddering, so I took them off in 2 weeks and replaced with OEM ones - no problem so far. I have compared BOSCH and OEM wipers, they were similar, but had some minor differences and it is hard to say what made them judder. Maybe I should have let the BOSCH to settle so they would stop judder? As for me I recommend OEM, yes you pay twice, but do you know if cheaper versions last long enough or do a decent job wiping windscreen? buy cheap - buy twice Last edited by Allworth; 01-08-2022 at 04:08 PM.. |

It's common knowledge that Valeo make the OEM ones, so I'll be getting those as mine have started to squeal badly when it rains. Armaan |

I do keep my screen clean of road grease and contamination, plus regularly clean the blades with white vinegar. No smearing, no juddering, a perfectly clean sweep. |

I think that is a key step in keeping the wipers working longer. Wiping the blades down when you clean the car and keeping the front window clean. When I lived in a colder part of the country where we had snow, ice, freezing rain for much of the winter, the blades lasted a lot less longer than in the hotter part of the country where we only get rain. |

For all those who may or may not be interested, just replaced mine with the Valeo VF371 (box had VM371 crossed out as this is the old name).
Look and feel like OEM for sure and tested the old ones before replacing…night and day, with no judder. The only thing to note is that a little nail polish remover on both to remove the Valeo branding works a treat…no one wants to see that! Armaan |

I've struggled with a wiper for the rear on my F31.
I bought a Bosch one, but it's terrible - judder 24/7. I'm tempted to get the BMW one, but it seems pricey, and there's no guarantee it'll be any better. The Valeo ones I have on my front windscreen are immense, by comparison. |

My wipers are just over 2 years old, and though I’ve generally looked after them, the drivers side is starting to squeak a bit. I bought replacement Valeo ones for my F31 and they were really good.

Are you sure something is not bent, if the screen is clean. Does it just judder in one direction? Arm may require a twist, to set the stroke angles equally. |
