Ill take a look at the paperwork I kept from the repair to hopefully shed some light. Almost positive the tech showed me a date of 8/7 that covered the fix.

No dice. Nothing noted on my receipt other than 0$ charge. I have no extended warranty and no CPO on the car.
Perhaps the dealer felt sorry for me that I was dead stalled in the middle lane of a 6 lane highway during rush hour and pushed the car across 3 lanes into the grass? |

The fuel pump is not covered by Fed Emission Performance Warranty, but the CA Emission Control Warranty does cover fuel pump for 8 years/100000 miles, while the PZEV Warranty covers up to 15 years/150000 miles. |

This is a known voluntary recall from BMW; it is not an extension to the warranty.

You're best off learning how to DIY all of the easy stuff (and accumulate simple tools) rather than overpay some other asshole. Save the difficult stuff for the professionals. You'll save yourself money, learn a lot and hopefully have a bit of fun as well. |

However, I think it'll default to whatever the stock recommended service interval is (15,000 miles in my car) so I just leave it and keep track of all my services & maintenance on a spreadsheet whether I do it myself or take it in somewhere.

21k miles Repairs/ Issues: - Drivers door lock/ latch system would get stuck, not allow door to close, warranty fix. - Issue with 1 of the cylinders, I can't remember but my car display said it was operating in a reduced power mode or something, I was able to drive it to a dealership. Warranty fix - Replaced front brake pads/ rotors at ~3 years/ 12k miles - complimentary maintenance covered this. - Replaced rear bake pads/ rotors at 21k miles - paid indy. - Transmission oil pan warping at 21k miles. Indy said he identified this problem and recommended an immediate replacement to avoid large transmission problems down the road. Said he has seen several instances of this causing transmission damage. I replaced it - pretty expensive ~$1100 or so. I think I saw someone else had this problem in this thread. |

2014 BMW 320i with M Sport Package and 6 speed manual, lighting package, heated front seats, sunroof/moonroof, NAV
119,000 miles I purchased the car with 16,000 miles on it. I drive about 30,000+ miles per year, mostly highway driving on East Coast (I am in sales). I've read quite a bit on this forum about reliability problems with the engine and trans but knock on wood I haven't had any issues beyond the following: 1) blown fuse for master window switch panel on driver's side front door 2) one check engine light for misfire (which never resurfaced after codes reset) 3) multiple flat rear tires (OEM run flats) 4) current issue with driver's side door lock sometimes not releasing (can't close the door). Happens about once a month. 5) seat leather around side bolster on driver's side was cracked badly when I purchased the car. BMW replaced the entire side bolster under warranty. I use Mobil 1 Extended life oil and filter which is good for 15,000 miles however I usually change at about 12,000 - 13,000 miles. Front and rear brakes lasted until 109,000 miles and tranny still shifts like new (still original clutch). The car has been bullet proof and I like to drive the car in a fairly spirited way. When I tell people the clutch is still good at 119K and the brakes lasted until 109K they think I must drive like Ms. Daisy but I think most people really don't know how to drive properly. I am an experienced (now retired) racer having competed and won regional championships in SCCA, NASA in production cars (Acura's and BMW's). I use engine braking part of the time, shift with rev matching, and I don't tailgate like most do (which necessitates constantly jamming on your brakes at high speed). I think this last point is lost on many people. I usually leave at least one car length or sometimes two to three between myself and the car in front of me whether I am driving 30 or 85 mph. I rarely use the brakes on the highway unless I need to come to a stop or slow down drastically. Usually when other's hit their brakes I just lift off the gas and close the gap, until they hit the gas again without me having to hit the brakes. I know some folks on this forum can barely get 30-40K out of their brakes which I don't understand. Oh, and I always use OEM BMW brake parts which seem to last longer. The F30 seems to get quite a bit of bad press, and especially the 320 as being gutless and underpowered. With a 6 speed manual it's more than adequate. It's a family sedan until you step up to a M3 or M4. Were it my only car I'd likely want a bit more power, but my other car is a 440 hp Porsche Panamera GTS, so that has more than ample power and acceleration. Overall it's one of the most reliable BMW's I have owned to date and I've owned most iterations of either the 3 series dating back to the E30 and the 5 series dating back to the E28. |

Other than that, it's just been normal maintenance things...oil changes (every 5-7k), air filters (intake and cabin), brake pads, spark plugs and coils, etc. I'm getting ready for a brake fluid flush, serpentine belt replacement, and zf trans service soon. And I'll likely replace shocks/struts shortly thereafter. Never had any sort of malfunction/limp mode scenario. *knock on wood*
