If it's close to the window it may cause a false read that the key is outside the car. Try leaving in your pants pocket rather than left shirt pocket or in the cup holder or center armrest instead.

Yea thats what I learned through testing. I dont leave in shirt pocket but window side pants pocket does not work. Anywhere on opposite site and no issue.
