I am new here,

I just got a 430i from auction trying to fix all error codes, now finally just have two that I am not sure how to solved, 1. blind spot detection malfunction and 2. lane warning change.

On 1 how do I know if my car has the blind spot system, I dont see any light indicator on the mirrors or doors.
2. The error code on the lane change warning is related to the vibration motor in the steering wheel, and is not motor installed or connection on the steering wheel.

So my question, is possible that the previos owner add or code this options by mistake or by lack of information. If this can be the case which is the best options to get the car back to normal, is posible to use the esys or other software to the deactivate this functions or options.

any help will be kindly appreciated.

Having similar symptoms. Intermittent humming from left side at above 60 mph. Heard same sound few months back, rear differential was replaced. Thinking wheel bearing this time.

Hi Guys,

I read your post about the noise between 100 and 130 km/h and I have exactly the same thing. It also drives me crazy and everything (tyres, wheel bearings, suspension, etc etc.) has been checked. New wheel bearings installed, 4x new tires and nothing helped. Now the presumption is the differential.

Did you finally find out what it was?

Regards,

Koen

Just chiming in with my personal experience with this... I started getting a constant pitch hum starting from 60 and hitting max volume at 80. It was coming from the front left and I thought it might be a wheel bearing, but I noticed the noise got louder with gusts of wind. Turns out it was in fact the underbody tray.

I have always been missing one or two of the underbody screws, and the last time I dropped the tray, I didn't put one of the screws at the corner behind the left wheel, near where the wheel well liner is. This let the panel drop down just enough to vibrate in the wind.

Hi Robertjuhh
Did you come up with a solution?
I guess I have the same symptoms, a wavy/pulsating noise around 120 km/h
I came across a same problem and solution in the link below;

https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/....952372/page-2

It says the cause is a combined effect of buckled rims and out of round tyres.

Could you update us, if you hopefully, solved it?

Hi,
A very similar issue seen on a Subaru, sharing the link.
This is due to front bearings, cause is water damage.

Check all mounts for wear and tear, motor and transmission. Check driveshaft, guibo rubber things and driveshaft center support bearing.

Hey,
An old post but was your ac causing vibration also, in idle? And did you have this noise as a pulsating manner on highway, like a tyre noise?

Noise sounds deep, you feel it in your ears but its absolut not a loud noise. My wife does not hear it but i am freaking about it. My garage has mounted a new differential but the noise is still the same. Now i am a few weeks further and i think the sound is coming from the front. I think wheel bearings. Is this possible or does anyone another idea?
Did you find a solution? Are you still with noise?

No, i did not have any problems with ac, except on longer drive and high speed. Fixed by refilling ac system.
