Spent the day washing my car. This was my first wash since coating my car with GTechniq C1 paint sealant. Highly recommended.

The Bilsteins coilovers are nice! I will get them when my wife is no longer drive the F30. The drop is pretty aggressive, 30mm to 50mm.

Bilsteins have a Comfort version that only drops the car 10-40mm which would be perfect for me! This version is already available for F3X cars except the GC! Dammit!

BC coil-overs arrive this week. Though I'm away so they won't go on for a while yet. Will let you know my thoughts when they arrive.

Think I will go with Red MP Big break kit. Hope it's a match to the red body paint.

I read so much on oil catch cans for N20 engines that I got a headache. Anyway I did see a few solid reviews and pictures that made sense. The BMS one looks ok, but I want something better. I found a great unit (Bob's) that had a great video comparison review. It is used on much bigger supercharged engines. I'm adapting it with the large BMW OEM pipes/fittings (I just ordered another breather fitting/pipe from bmw for $35!) and now I'm making adapters for it all to fit together. All in it will probably cost me the same as the BMS unit, but will be way better at catching blowby and look more original.

Question, what does C1 paint sealant do? Always see people doing this, but seems like a gimmick to me. Why would this be better than wax and how does it attach to the paint?

Looking forward to your thoughts on BC Racing coils. Did you get the Swift springs upgrade?

For MP Brakes I am going for yellow or orange on my Alpine White 428i.

The catch can sounds interesting. Maybe you could make some to sell??? Hint hint.

I dont pretend to know how it seals but I've been using it on my cars for a while now. I can say it keeps the dirt off and makes cleaning the car much easier. Its supposed to prevent light scratches because it forms a hard barrier. From my experience my cars dont have any swirl marks when I use this in conjunction with careful car washing. Its better than wax in the sense that it lasts longer. There are lots of very well regarded products that do the same thing like Opticoat. More info from the GTechniq site:

Here is the link directly from the Bilstein website:

http://web1.carparts-cat.com/default...A018001&12=130

Scroll down and look for this part # Bil_024473. Translate to english if it helps.

Also do a search on this site, a member from Australia purchased this part # and verifies the drop is in the range I am talking about. Its the Comfort series.

Glad you found it! Sell that MPS and get a fully adjustable setup! Better yet, get the version with electronic damping adjustment either from a button installed in the car or the iphone app! Then you wife will be able to drive it..

I'm going to purchase this soon. I hear it has to be dropped shipped directly from Bilstein so delivery could take a while.

Sealants form a protective barrier like wax, only longer lasting
The coatings are actually different and truly bond to the clear coat surface, leaving an extra layer of material covering the clearcoat. Most are ceramic coatings and hydrophobic, thus preventing water spotting and grime build up to a large degree; that's also why the car is easier to clean as grime doesn't get embedded in the clear coat. They're also longer lasting and typically are good for atleast 2 years of protection.

My wife doesn't really drive the 335i anymore after I bought a 2014 F25 3.5M. She love the F25 better than the F30. She just hate me putting money into the cars, cuz she knows it's endless. lol

Just did some more coding last night related to the Comfort Access hatch opening:

Reduce opening and closing delay
Turned off audible and visual notification of hatch closing
Activate trunk closing from key fob
Activate trunk closing from the interior driver side button
