A trip with 2 cars (actually one but...)

Well yesterday I drove down to RAF Henlow - 123 Miles.

Set off at 10:32 and arrive at 12:51.
Route was M54, M6 Toll, M6, A14, A1. (And local A roads).

78% of the trip was in ECO Mode.

Managed to get 51.4 mpg.

The other 22% was mix of Comfort and stick to left and Sport selected.

So coming back today (slightly more lorries).

Left at 10:10 and arrived home at 12:07.

Route was reverse of above.

This time 8% was ECO mode (mainly road works and constant speed zones) the rest was Stick to left and Sport, with some Comfort thrown in.

Managed to get 40.7 mpg coming home.

What it proves, in ECO mode 100% you can likely get 55mpg, however it's not fun being over taken by Renault Scenic's driven by 70 yr old Grannies.

You can still have some fun in Sport mode / manual and get a decent return.

The other thing is the around 10p price difference between my local BP and those in Cambs/ Beds...as in more expensive in Cambs/ Beds.

The A1 going north before Black Cat (A421/A1 roundabout) love that S bend thing

Oh and sorry to the White 320d (F30) but I was in a rush lol.

Lots of numbers in this OP, none of them makes sense to me. Think NTG's petrol voodoo may have clouded my perception of diesels

Oh Brigand what's going on? ECO Mode is there to comply with the law and fiddle the figures, it was never intended that you use it. You will never get that time back.

Lol I had to get it out of my system lol.

Spent today (after I got home) cleaning dead bugs off the front of car and dried blood from inside the car from my self harm mode lol.

In my limited defence the roads used are rather crap and boring - I hate motorways.

The A1 n/b just before the Black Cat is known officially as Kelpie Marina.

I thought I was the one going on about Eco pro

Not sure about GILFing - stay away from the Eco button - next you'll be talking about coasting and your ASS.

Really good food, admittedly not as good as some around here (Masala Club and
Bilash).

Yeah had heard Shefford could be like that, right pain and totally pointless.
