Thankful, and looking forward...
Today I renewed my ConnectDrive, since my 435's anniversary is due to hit shortly. I'm also off my CPO coverage that same date. So I've been thinking it was perfect timing to take the next step... and the final piece of my TOON puzzle arrived today too. ;P. (a CTS CP & ATM FMIC have been waiting on this). I might have to wait for warmer weather to do the HW install. But I'll activate & log my current stock-tune for a bit, and maybe trial some tamer Stage 1 octane maps before then. This should be fun...

Nice car. I have always wished my car was MG, it was the one thing I had to compromise on, but everything else was just what I wanted so I went with it. I have even contemplated wrapping the whole dang car...

I went for a great drive through some winding roads for a couple hours and messed around with my new dragy in some less populated areas. 4.4sec 0-60 and 12.56sec 1/4 mile are my fastest times so far. Need better tires I think. But these were respectable times considering what my highs are.

Changed the interior cabin air filter. A friendly reminder to change out yours every year or 12,000 miles.
Clearly the previous owner had not. |

I bought my new to me 2015 435i today. It's got very low miles with lots of M Performance goodies. I'm looking forward to owning this one for a long time.

Wasn't really looking to upsize to 20", but simply couldn't refuse the offer of these pretty rare Breytons... The 3rd set of wheels bought within the last 12 months

Performed my first oil change on the N26 today. I went with 5 liters of LiquiMoly Molygen and a Mann filter from the good folks over at FCP Euro. Having spent years dicking around with oil filters underneath various vehicles I've owned, I'm a big fan of the top mount filter assembly.

Well not today but a couple days ago...
Changed out my thermostat on my F30 N55 335i. It sucked, a lot. That damn coolant return line cracked and after that I got a check engine light... "Thermostat stuck open" It was definitely one of those "should I have a professional do this" type of projects but I powered through it and got it done with no issues so far. Tried following ISTA as much as I could but it was lacking in details. Ended up pulling out the fan cowl and dropping the intercooler to get more space... Full DIY on my blog if anyone is interested.

Well, in my country (and many others) it comes only in M Sport as a standard upholstery (no extra cost). This means both the BMW charges extra for leather in M Sport, and you cannot get the fabric/alcantara interior for other lines (at any cost).
However, it can vary from country to country. For instance, even the G30 M550iX comes with fabric/alcantara as a standard in Central/East Europe, but the standard for the UK seems to be leather. Recently BMW (and other brands) quickly moves to syntetic leather in Europe, thus some models/lines come with Sensatec as standard. |

Btw, absolutely no maintenance of these seats needed within the last 12 months. The black Alcantara M Performance parts are much worse, but still okay. |
