FS: 2018 340i xDrive M Performance Edition, with only 19,681 km and $3,100 of Extras
Like brand-new with only 19,681 km. Asking $60,600.
The MPE was a limited production model for Canada only and was not produced for any other country. Beside the added BMW Individual options that came OEM on the car as special configuration from Germany, several other components were added on the car at point of arrival. In 2018, BMW produced only 200 of the 340i MPE (50 of each of only 4 colors - Alpine White, BMW Individual Laguna Seca Blue, BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic and Sunset Orange) and again only for Canada, with 355HP/369 lb-ft of torque. The 2018 340i MPE also added all the driver assistance onboard intelligence and technology (i.e. blind spot detection, front collision detection and lane departure alert), rear doors roller sun visor and rear heated seats. This MPE comes in an exotic BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic color. The BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic color was only introduced in 2018 (different from the Tanzanite Blue II color on the 2020 model). This means that there are only 50 of these 2018 340i MPE BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic colored cars across the world. The Tanzanite Blue Metallic color changes its blue shade, darkness and lightness depending on the daytime and reflection of lights on it (as obvious from the posted sunny vs. shade pictures). So far, I have only seen and know of 2 of this color in Western Canada. Mine as well as one that is currently offered for sale in Vancouver (with higher mileage). Additionally, the car has the following extras, adding up to value of $3,100 (excluding taxes): 1. DEFA Charging system. 2. Full hood, fenders, front bumper and side mirrors paint protection film. Car has clean CARFAX with no accidents, scratches, dents, dings, stone chips (on either paint or windshield) or wheel scuffs. It is basically as brand-new and perfect as it can ever be. If you are looking for a limited production MPE with extremely low mileage, extra-ordinary condition, OEM warranty till 2022 (could be extended till 2025) and covered/free services till 2022, this would be the perfect example. Not rushing a sale, but rather looking for the right buyer. Last edited by ZMYTM5; 10-22-2020 at 10:42 AM.. |

Nice indeed - I have a sister to yours, except mine is in Sunset Orange, otherwise identical. I have just turned 17,000 kms on mine. It is one of the best BMWs I have owned of the 20 I have had since 1971. Good luck with your sale, someone will be getting a fine car. BTW, according to BMW, there are only 50 in each of the four colors in 2018,

Thanks for your message tuco44 and for the nice wishes. Yes, it certainly is one of the nicest BMWs I have owned as well, and I previously owned 3 ///M5s and a 1 1M.
Yes, you are right about BMW producing 50 of each of the only 4 available colours (laguna seca/deep/true blue, sunset orange, graphite gray and alpine white) of the 2015 335i MPE according to the report they issued at the time. Haven't been able to find a similar report for 2016, 2017 and/or 2018, even through the dealership community (please forward if you have one for these later years). I am only aware of and have only seen 2 Tanzania Blue Metalic in Western Canada so far though. Enjoy the Sunset Orange, beautiful colour. Last edited by ZMYTM5; 09-27-2020 at 10:19 AM.. |

The colors for 2018 at 50 of each were: Alpine White, Tanzanite Blue, Sunset Orange and Laguna Seca Blue. When I got mine, I had a choice of the White, Tanzanite and Sunset Orange. Tanzanite was my second choice, but I loved the SO more. The Kelowna dealer had about 5 of the 2018 model over the 2018 year. All long gone now.
Cheers.

People usually confuse about the regular 340i w/ M performance package I & II vs. MPE models. Saw a 2015 335i MPE in Sunset Orange in Bavaria BMW (one of their employee's ride), very eye-catching in a distance! |

Nice Car! I'm looking for one of these and seen your ad, timing is off for me at this time, as my C43 lease ends Nov 30th and MY17 340ix ends next July.
One point of clarification, these came with both the 20" summer wheels and 18" winter wheels, but you have that extra. Anyway, GLWS. If it's still available next spring, I'll probably reach out. |

I don't think that is true. The specs for the 2018 340i MPE do not list the 18"winter wheels as part of the package. Nor did my 2018 MPE come with 18" winter wheels, nor did any of the other 3 MPEs on the lot at the time I got mine.

Hi Seanhfx, thanks for your reply. BTW, I did not list winter wheels as an added extra on my car. The extras that I listed above are:
1. DEFA Charging system. 2. Full hood, fenders, front bumper and side mirrors paint protection film. I do have a spare set of winter wheels, but the cost for that set is not included in this asking price of $60,600. As tuco44 indicated, his car as well as all the ones that were at the dealership at the time did not include a winter set of 18" wheels. And, yes, I am aware that some of them came with a winter set of wheels. That sounds like if a buyer did not want this winter wheels set, the cost was reduced. Maybe that was one of the on-demand equipment. Mine did not come with the 18" winter wheels set and I purchased that spare set myself. If you are looking for November, then we probably should start discussions now. Otherwise, if you are looking for a spring timeframe, we will have to see if it is still available by then. A same car is listed at Autowest BMW, 20k km, 2 weeks ago was asking 57,500, now lowered to 56,500. The BMW store just sold a Laguna Seca Blue, 25k km, asking 51,900, listed for 1.5 weeks and gone. The last new such car was sold at The BMW store last year in July, sunset orange, brand new, asking price was 54,900, missed it. The MSRP was 72,800. These cars have almost all options, except parking assistant (auto parking), and active cruise control.

The BMW Store one has 5,000 km more, as you indicated, is modified/not all original and missing the extras that are on mine. Also, a Laguna Seca Blue with 24k on it listed in Ontario for $58k without the extras that are on mine. The MSRP without the M Performance Edition package was $72,800. The M Performance Edition package was $16,000. Some people got the car for close to $80k. The Tanzanite Blue Metallic and the Laguna Seca Blue were the only 2 BMW Individual colours. 50 were made of each colour of the Sunset Orange, Laguna Seco Blue and Alpine White every year for 4 years (from 2015 to 2018), so 200 of each colour over 4 years. The Graphite Gray was only available in 2015, so only 50 of this colour were made. The Tanzanite Blue Metallic was only available in 2018, so again only 50 of this colour were made. Lot of unique varieties, so pick the best based on your opinion. Last edited by ZMYTM5; 10-08-2020 at 12:57 PM.. |

I've been following these cars on Autotrader for a bit now, and most of the 17's from Quebec started at 49k-51k, Leguna seca blue sold when the price hit 44k, probably sold for ~42k.
As for the 18's, high 50's is too high for the market, mid 50's might get a bite and a sale with negotiation. Keep in mind that aftermarket extras for current owner may not be of equal value for new owner, especially at full price paid for such after market accessories The one in Ontario, which was referred to here is probably not as clean (well really, not nearly as clean) as the one in Edmonton, but has extra year of warranty. For example, I would prefer the extra warranty over PPF/charger. PPF is a blessing and a curse for me, unless it is a very special car with high resale (ie: Porsche), I wouldn't want PPF. Listen, as a seller, you have the right to set the price. The market and buyer will determine the market price for that particular car. |
