318D to 320D conversion
Hi everyone,
I have a 2014 318d touring that I'm absolutely loving. I had to go for the 318d model as I couldn't get insurance on a 320d due to the higher power and Ireland is the worst country in the world for insuring vehicles especially for young drivers. So my question is what's the difference between the 318d and the 320d engine wise? I've heard that its the fuel rail, intake manifold, and the tune obviously. Am I right in assuming that I can just swap these parts out, and get it mapped or is there more involved? Forgot to mention that it is the N47 twinpower turbo engine, not the B47. So, not being able to get insurance for a 320d you're now planning to invalidate the insurance on your 318d by modifying the engine and ECU but not declaring to your insurer ?
