How to remove rear emblem.

Doesn’t seem to be like other BMWs where it’s an easy thing to do. I’m wondering if it’s apart of the much larger roundel housing. Would appreciate some help in the matter

Dont know for sure, but I think its just on and extended piece with a standard roundel? Like this,
.

That is if your discussing the actual emblem.

I don't know about the back but the hood emblem is attached with double-sided tape.

The photos in this listing will give you an idea of how it's mounted to the car.

Billfitz you ok my guy? I know we have a more "rare" chassis but people still own/buy/mod F34s around the world so I thought it might be helpful to someone else if I share my experiences. Or maybe you just want to have the last word on all the F34 posts? Let's continue to post helpful stuff rather than junk

That's what the forums are for right?

IME there's only one reason to post a large number of replies to long dead threads, especially when they contain links to products or videos associated with the poster, and that's to advertise said products or videos. If this occurred on my forum you'd get one warning to knock it off, and if you continued it you'd be banned. Since this isn't my forum that's not my call to make, but be aware that I have reported it to the mods here.

Billfitz dude I have way less than 1000 followers on YT and zero paid promotion. I spend my hard earned money on everything on my car just like you. I don’t sell any products nor do I have any affiliation with any company. I also try to DIY as much as I can to expand my knowledge of the car to share. This is how we make our F34s last forever and in the best condition. Not sure why you’re upset that I choose to document my experience with my car to help others. I’m like the only person on internet actively making quality content on this chassis which, and I’m sure you can agree with, is very underrated and deserves more love, appreciation, and knowledge than the car truly gets. I make helpful, sincere posts and content. Plus, I finally JUST made a bimmperpost account so that I can give to the community instead of only taking as I had been doing for years. As someone with sooo many posts on here, I’d think you’d appreciate that. This is my 2nd F34 GT. I’m not new to this. Looking through these forums the past few days, I’ve noticed you drop snarky comments and sarcastic help lines all over the place. And memes that are less than helpful. And people have called you out on it. And now you just sound like a hater. I’m going to continue to post replies to things that I feel like I can provide insight on, whether I have a video for the topic or not because that’s what this community deserves

i agree with billfitz on this. you are resurrecting old thread just to post your own video.

if you are truly helping the guy, you should take off your youtube video, then i will believe you. otherwise i m with billfitz.

it's not wrong you documented your knowledge in YT, that's helpful, but the fact that you are self promoting yourself on a dead thread that no one care.

it's different if it's a newer thread posted few days ago. i hope you understand the difference between self promoting and helping others in forum.

i report you to admin as well

I think you're missing the big picture here. I just made an account, but I have been reading these forums for years. I'm sure there are many many people that read the forums, but never make their own account to post anything.

So it doesn't matter if it was from a few days ago or not. Someone could google an issue 4 years from now...maybe they just got the car and want to take care of it best they can. Next thing you know, they're here, finding solutions by text, and also by video! I don't get paid a penny off of my videos. If Bimmerpost allowed me to upload my videos directly to the site, then I would. Unfortunately, my videos are big files and only pictures will upload here.

I'm done "resurrecting dead threads" lol. I have PM access now. But I will continue to post new threads and replies about F34 stuff because that's what we are here for. You want me to only post pictures going forward?

I checked many of your posts and what you did was post the reply of the old thread with a youtube of your own. If that is not self promoting, then what?

I reported every single of your posts to admin as spam as it appears as spammers.

I have confirmed that the rear roundel is secured by adhesive and two prongs/grommets. I removed it with the help of some some trim tools and replaced with a new gloss black roundel to complete my chrome delete.

The rear trunk emblem on my F30 has two plastic posts sticking straight out the back. There are two matching holes in the trunk. Two plastic grommets press into the holes and then the posts go into them.

See attached photo of the front and rear emblems. If you zoom in on the back of the rear emblem you will clearly see the posts that go into the grommets. Second photo shows grommet part number.

Easy way to remove emblem is to place blue painters tape on the paint around the emblem to prevent scratches. Then use a flat plastic pry bar that comes with a pick tool set to work around the edges and pop it out.

Hope this helps!

The rear trunk roundel on the F34 is different than the one for the F30. The part number is 51147301062 and the shape is different as you can see from my old one I removed. It's definitely a bit tougher to remove than the F30 trunk roundel too, but still doable

Thank you! Your video really helped me. Firstly I though I need to remove it from the inside which meant it needed to remove all the plastics from inside the hatch.
I want to change mine because the M from BMW started to bubble up and turned white.
PS: I don't see the problem in self advertising his content as far is on topic and it's quality work.

What’s up bro I don’t think you can separate it without damaging it. It’s a totally different part than the front one. Be careful when you remove it not to scratch your paint!

I would treat the trunk roundel as one piece
