I noticed a few things that I ran across that are different.

These are the parts I ordered:

It turns out that 61-13-6-984-758 is NOT the correct part. I couldn’t find the right part number so I simply used the connector that was originally on my inner tails.

To get the inners out, you simply remove the retainer held on by the 8mm nut. Once it’s removed you have to carefully pull the light off the trunk. You would push in a rotating sort of way, like opening a door, if that makes any sense. Everything else was spot on.

Another thing he mentioned is below:
Fat adapter 1 > Thin adapter 1
Fat adapter 2 > Thin adapter 2
Fat adapter 3 > Thin adapter 3
Fat adapter 4 > Thin adapter 4
Thin adapter 5 nothing/blank
Thin adapter 6 was the long wire going to REM.

if you look on the inside of the new sockets they are numbered 1-6 so you can easily figure out what goes where.
