I would go with OEM rims dont matter what kind they are, unless your roads are perfect where you are. Here in New England I bent through aftermarket rims like there is no tomorrow. Especially in spring after all the potholes form from the plow trucks.

I'm thinking ET40 would be better in the rear for me as I am not going to have much camber to keep the top of the wheel/tire flush under the fender. I'm not a fan when they poke out too far. I am on stock xDrive suspension currently, but have ACS springs I will be installing soon (whenever I get unlazy).

However, today I noticed on eBay there is a UK vendor with a 38/40 offset offering. With shipping costs they do cost a bit more, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for a better fitting wheel. Anyone have thoughts on these? I will be using 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 tires most likely.

I ended up buying the aforementioned aftermarket wheels. I'm going to play the lottery and see how it goes. Lots of people seem to get by just fine with aftermarket wheels. It's just hard to know if you're getting a quality one or not. Hell, even OEM wheels get bent and cracked on crappy roads. I just wasn't comfortable with the fitment of the 437M OEM wheels. Little bit too much poke for my tastes.

Hi,

what do you guys think about the fuel consumption when switching from the 225/255 combo to the 235/265 on the 437M?
Will it increase? or stay normal?

Hey guys I have some reps on the way 19x8.5 et35 & 19x9.5 et40. My plan is to do a 265/35 in the rear but I can't find a 235/40 for the front in the brand I'm going to run. would you do the 225/40 or 235/35? I really dont want to have to do the 255 with a 40 offset. I'm afraid it'll be too far in, I'd like to get it as flush as possible when I lower after the wheels are installed. anyone running reps with et40 in the rear? what's your tire setup?

In that case I recommend 245/35 front and 265/35 rear, but only if your F30 is RWD (diameter differs a bit much for xDrive).

I actually ended up pulling the trigger on 245/35 and 275/30 last night. should be here friday, I saw two f30's on the forum yesterday running the same size and offset wheels that I have with those tires, looks nice and meaty! I'm not a tire stretch guy lol.

I am looking at doing a similar width, but want more sidewall. I know it is bigger than factory diameter, but should still fit. I want 245/40 and 275/35. Hopefully it won’t rub. My car is xdrive so I’m being mindful of the 1% rule as well. Otherwise I’ll end up with 225 and 255.

Yeah that's the size I wanted to do but I want to lower my car and didnt want to have to worry about rub, if you go to the VMR wheel thread you can see a couple guys who are running these tire sizes on their cars. If you havent gotten the wheels yet, I just picked these up for 689 shipped! got them today and they are perfect! nice deep concave 19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et40. I think he has only 2 sets left

I did lower my car on ACS springs, but it's now sitting around what a stock msport rwd car would be at. So not what most people would called "lowered". I intend on running the ACS + M-Adaptive dampers until they wear out before going to KW Street Comfort coils. So hopefully with the minor lowering I've done I can get away with the larger diameter tires and no rub. Mainly because I don't want to run 225 and 255. I think that would look a bit stretched on these wider rims.

I already bought my 437M replicas. I got them from eBay with front 8.5" +38 and rear 9.5" +40 offset. They cost a bit more than your deal, but I wanted the gray version instead of black. I am slightly disappointed that the gray I received is fairly dark and not even close to the OEM ferric gray or even the listing pictures. Oh well.

I think with those offsets you'll be fine with those tires (I'm by no means a fitment expert) but My car has m adaptive suspension and I think those would certainly clear at my height now. I'll post some photo's of the wheels and tires when I get them on. At least then you'll be able to visually see if you think the increase in the aspect ratio from 35 to 40 in the front and 30 to 35 in the rear is possible.

and sorry to hear about the wheel disappointment but I'm sure they'll still look good when you put them on

Put the 437m reps on yesterday and they turned out great. Specs are 19x8.5 et35 19x9.5 et40 w/ 245/35 & 275/30. No rub with OE M adaptive suspension. I love it, just needs some low now.

I am very new to wheels and what not so even after researching and looking through this thread I am still a bit confused.

What are the exact specs for wheels/tires would I need to run a squared set up with OEM 19" 437M wheels?

IF it is not possible to run OEM wheels, what are good reps?

I have a 2018 320ix drive.

Thanks!

I think you could try 4 front rims of the 437m knock offs with ET35 offset 8.5" rim and a 255 all round, but check and search on the forum

You may need front camber plates to get some more front camber in case it rubs. Also, negative 2 degrees of front camber and a square 255 and you would LOVE the handling on the car, it would feel great

See this, although it isn't a 437M which has a lot of concavity...
