Custom twinscroll Mani with a BW EFR 7670 turbo.

Stage 2 lpfp
ATM intercooler with FTP CP's,
Custom Dyno Map and jb4 for control on e85 and pump 92
ARP upgraded Rod bolts for protection,
Muffler delete with quad 3.5" tips
E90 Southbend stage 2 clutch and flywheel upgrade.
Currently at around 380whp. Shooting for 420-450whp but my tuner says engine may let go if I push it without internals and tranny might let go as well.
That's what we're all hearing as well, but I believe it's all speculation because I don't know if anyone has pushed it that far and gotten the engine to break.

Congrats on the build, I’d love to see people break the 400whp marker on the n26 platform.

Same. Also, on the tranny, I would like to say you'll be fine at this time. People have put over ~600lbs on the same tranny. Not saying it won't speed up the deterioration of it, but it won't necessarily break unless it's already close to that.

I agree the transmission shouldn't be underestimated

Agreed. ZF has made some beautiful transmissions.

So our manual tranny's are made by Getrag not ZF. Also some people on the e90 post have report the tranny to break around the 450 to 500 power levels. So maybe this Getrag is not as strong as the older ZF series manuals in the older cars. This is why my tuner said it might let go but nothing is certain.

I am also not made of money and would like to keep the car fun daily and the build was to have a fun and very functional car with good power in entire rpm band while still spanking 335 and m3 owners. Might tweak the tune here and there and focus next on upgraded suspension and get the big brake kit and call it good.

Wow would love to see pics of your manifold!

I'm working on the layout of mine and was thinking ram horn, but not sure of space.

Does it use a t4 divided twinscroll flange?

Why did you go for the 7670? I was told 6758 would be plenty big enough for 500hp.

Def need to go to Forged pistons and rods. Only problem is it seems we need to have the block sleeved...

I've found a couple top builders in TX, now just a matter of pulling the trigger. Been slowly buying all the new seals, gaskets, and other bits and pieces. Getting closer!

I mean from what I've heard yes. I spoke to a couple builders who've looked at the n20 block (LASleeve had one in their shop last year) about it, along with a couple machinists that posted built n20's on insta (one in Germany and one in Taiwan I think) and they all said that when they checked the bore shape it was out of round and the clearances were out of spec so they didn't want to rebuild and try make big power with that as a starting point. The guy in Germany posted pics of a dry sleeved block. Pictures look dope.

LA Sleeve told me they can do a dry Sleeve or. Semi-wet Sleeve. Their dry Sleeve would be good up to 32lbs of boost. While the wet sleeve would be good above that.

Given it's an open deck design, I'm not sure if it's worth going above 32PSI anyway. I wonder how much jam an n20 would make with the right turbo combo at 32PSI?

Pulled the trigger today and got the pistons and rods for the n20 on monkeysracing.com thanks Stubok for the recommendation and now on to getting a custom manifold at 4n performance if possible.

You guys should look into Cylinder support systems. They are a good compromise between a full sleeve job and factory sleeves. Fairly reasonably priced. There are some Honda's making huge power on factory sleeves plus internals with the "cylinder support system".
Maybe shoot them an email and see if they are interested:

So, went in for a DV+ install yesterday. After everything was put together, we had a bit of smoke from the turbo and downpipe. It eventually went away (Assuming it was spilt coolant); however, upon had acceleration, I was still getting smoke white smoke to shoot out of the turbo. I'm being told my turbo is dying, but curious if it's due to the old oil line recall. Not sure if mine ever got replaced.

Maybe... I'm not fully convinced yet... We had a ton of coolant go everywhere and I'm 99% sure that's what was burning in both the turbo and downpipe. Drove the car for a bit and ran the same test as we did yesterday, no smoke. Now I'm not entirely sure if we have an issue. The smoke was escaping from the oil line, so figuring out if that's normal is the next question. If so, then the turbo is fine.
