I specify that I am not paid by xHP ☺️
Will abandon my earlier xHP adapter issue thread as this seems to be the one to address the issues...driving in sport+ /D have you noticed the lower shift points or is it 5-6000 as stock? Mine shifts at 3000 on stage 2 which is way too early

You can modify the shift points

Are they static or dynamic - as in adapting to your driving style?

I think of it as three modes of operation for the shift maps :

Gentle driving - XHP has pre-defined shift points (up/down) for each ratio.
Dynamic - the shift point for each ratio will increase if the car is being driven with a heavier right foot.
WOT - the shift point is at, or close to, the rev limiter

Shift points can be adjusted manually by way of a % adjustment for gentle and dynamic driving, and a WOT shift point can be set for each transmission mode (Drive / Sport / Sport+ / Manual). For example with my 330d I have different WOT shift points for D (4000), S/S+ (4300), and M (4500). There's no point having a shift point >4250 on my car, because peak power occurs at that rpm, but a 4500 shift point in manual mode gives a bit of tolerance when the car is on track in M mode.

Thanks a lot for the explanation. I will give the shift point settings a try today

If your car is always shifting at 3k, you've either set it in the WOT upshift settings or possibly enabled Valet mode as a guess?

It's 3000 in D but higher in S. Just surprised me as I'm used to much higher revving in D with sport+

Am I right in thinking you pootle around town in sport+ though?

I think with XHP sport+/D is sort of dynamic. If on a light throttle mine will go into the highest possible gear like comfort, but will change down much sooner than comfort and hold lower gears if it sees that you are using more throttle input and harder braking, keeping the revs high if you are using full throttle. As soon as you go back to pootling it will go into highest gear again.
This is more obvious on a petrol with wider rev range than diesel.

I don't really use sport+/D, it's comfort or sport+/S dsc off for me.

But I think you want the sport+ pops and crackles around town don't you!

Correct, 90% of my journeys are through London traffic in sport+ - full on pops and crackles

Has anyone flashed their car from an iPhone using an rj45 adapter? I'm looking into this adapter https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353614323...#38;media=COPY at the mo and just wondered if anyone has flashed their vehicles with one?
Were there any issues doing this with an iPhone over a laptop?

There have been problems with an Ethernet connection on an iPhone since one of the iOS updates. I'm not sure if its been fixed yet.

My advice is to just buy the Thor dongle. I've never had any problems with mine and I've flashed the transmission several times.
