f36 side mirror not adjusting fully

Bit of an odd one.

My drivers side mirror glass appears to be wildly out of adjustment in that despite full R adjustment (I am UK so RHD) using the electric toggle switch, I still have >1/2 the car visible in the mirror, and left with a massive blind spot.

I have just compared this to another f36 at the dealer and found that this is not normal (unsurprisingly).

The mirror body itself appears to retract and open to the normal home position, and the mirror glass appears to max out its outward angle.... but appears to be in the incorrect position.

BMW can't get me in until May ... lolz.

Any suggestions? I am happy to disassemble to assess the innards but wondering if anybody has an exploded view of the assembly handy that I could study?

Ta!
