Nice car, you're going to regret rwd even on snows up there! I couldn't do it on 18" snows rwd in Orange County for one winter.

I have a RWD as well and I don't regret it at all. I survived my first winter with it with summer tires, it was tough but manageable. Now I got all seasons and my car drives with ease in the snow.

Yikes!! I hope you're wrong. I have 19" winters. So far, one snow - not quite what I would call a storm for this area, only 3". The car handled great - no issues going up some pretty steep hills, or going down either. Time will tell.

Ceramic Coating

When I picked the car up at the dealer, they gave me some bonus add-ons - - - - dealer installed swirls. : The worst ones were on the driver side door, the hood, the rear driver side quarter panel, and the rear bumper.

Last week I brought the car to The Works Auto Center for a paint correction and ceramic coating. I decided to go with Ceramic Pro Silver+ (10 year coating).

Could not be happier with the work that the detailer/owner (Kory) did. The car looked absolutely incredible when I picked it up. Unfortunately, pictures just don't do it justice. The car and wheels just looked amazing!

Now I just need to control my OCD and not touch the paint for 2-3 weeks while it cures.

Looks amazing, how much did the detail and ceramic coat run you?

$1,400

I actually wanted to go with PPF for the hood, front bumper and the front quarter panels, but that would have been $1,750. Plus I would still have to pay for the ceramic coating on the rest of the car. Just couldn't justify that expense.

Definitely two great color combinations!

I spent a lot of time hunting down the exact spec I ended up going with. I don't see either of the two combos very often on the road at all!

That MG/Saddle is just so damn unique though

That's pretty steep too my man, I assume they prepped the car (paint correction/polish, etc?)

Yes. 1 stage paint correction. Car was littered with swirls from the dealer "prep". Lesson learned. The dealer will never be allowed to wash the car going forward or prep any new car I buy.

xPel PPF Install

In the first 4 months of ownership I've already got 4 rock chips on the front of the car. Luckily, they were all small and Dr. Colorchip is such an amazing product.

Well, I decided that I'm not going to let it get chipped up anymore. Did a full front xPel. Unfortunately, this meant stripping the ceramic coating, installing xPel, and then reapplying two layers of ceramic coating.

Beyond elated with how it all came out.
