Hehehe i didd the same, got Mad and whent back to the trunk and kick one time easy in the senter not kickt the car only under and boom it open , yes , now ewery time i kick it open no problemos

FINALLY got it to work - although unlike the video from BMW - my area to 'kick' is not directly in the center of the car, but it is very close to the left side exhaust (driver's side), right under the PDC Sensor. I did the 'kicking' motion very close to the driver's exhaust side and the trunk opens automatically each and every time.

So - if you have an Msport (or can't get it to work on your F30) with comfort access - try closer to your driver's side exhaust. I knew I had the option, and so mad that the BMW "GENIUS" who showed my wife the car said it wasn't available with the Msport bumpers!
