Pure 800 cast flew to the angels

Apparently she's pushing oil out of both ends. Only had about 6,500 miles on it. Had a feeling something wasn't 100% right. Going to order a DAW Ultra Flow tomorrow, along with Nostrum injectors. Sucks, but what can you do? Blown stock > Vargas GC (6k?, sold) > blown Pure 800 (6.5k) > DAW.

i think if its leaking through both ends its usually too much crank case pressure/draining problem(no kinks in line-right diameter etc) . are you running occ ?

why dont you wait a few weeks to see what the new DAW turbo options are? I think they are coming out with 2 or three different options, Kern and a few others are running them. Or Docrace just released a budget mount for $3500 or something.

No occ, but contemplating it. I was running the Vargas oil cap breather.

Don’t really want it sitting at the shop for too long, but I am interested in options. I see they make an Ultra Flow R for the TU B58.

It's my understanding that they sre just moving to the same cast options that pure uses.. then expanding their options etc

I dont think it was the turbo failing but a problem outside a turbo causing it to fail. Im no expert but with the mods listed and im assuming your 600hp with no occ ooof it was bound to go poof no occ/bov to relieve pressure? I have the ross racing with double ports on top for max crank case relief

Thanks, man. Think I will get the Ross kit. Will this work with the Burger intake? And do I want the OCC breather adapter with the 5’ hose?

Thinking now it was not running occ? No shaft play or other damage, so just needs the seal replaced I think.

I just ordered the DAW ultra flow from you last night! How quickly will that ship?

Sorry to hear about your luck. I’m on the DAW 2.5+ with upgraded wheel and pushing the car pretty hard now at 35-36 psi on E85 and the turbo has been awesome … this post makes me wonder if I should be worried about crankcase pressure running around in the 670 whp range. Any cons to going with the Ross kit? Do you think the VTT cap was helpful at all?

Damn, 35-36 psi is stout! Do you have port? I’m all over the place with DI vs port. Not much info out there yet on Spool or Nostrum injectors and I want to order one or the other in the next day or two. Doug said he got a DAW car with Nostrum Stg 1 injectors to make 675 wheel on E40. Was that you by any chance?

No cons , it actually really good for your engine letting it breath only air / catching oil blow by / relieving pressure. With no occ your pcv is feeding oil back into the turbo inlet. the v2 allows for max pressure relief. With the b58 there is no bov on the cp.. and all the remaining pressure gets exerted out the engine into turbo out the exhaust. Like i mentioned im no expert but , oil out both ends seems like too much pressure and pushing out both seals , or kink in oil drain line(but its pure800 using stock lines), so its not drain line, youd have to check. With the big Turbos they have a bov mounted on turbo manifold to relieve pressure
