I'm trying to do this on my 2016 M235i, but apparently I'm not doing something right as that oil change interval reset to 9,000 miles, but I can't get it changed to 5,000 miles. Is this even possible to do?

What FDL codes should I use for 10,000 KM and 12 months. I can't encode VO because I think I will lose chiptuning ...? I have an F30 320d 184KM 2012

KOMBI L7_MID > CBS_Konfiguration 3009 > CBS_ZEIT_FAKTOR_FZG_CHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4

Then there is a coding in the DME or DDE which depends on the engine i think.
Here i have 3 different BMW models as examples:

328i ----- DME > BSU-Config 3320 > OEL-Config = Wert_14

320D ----- DME__DDE7xx > OHNE_ZEITLIMIT 3701 > OWI_NEU = wert_11
335D ----- DME__DDE7xx > OHNE_ZEITLIMIT 3701 > OWI_NEU = wert_15

All these codings are for the 12TKM 12Month interval.
Worked flawlessly for me in 320d. Coded out 8KM and did the fdl and after I services my car yesterday is now on 7K miles / 12months.

Thanks for the info

There is no 10.000 but 12.000 km or 12 months. still good

I'm trying to do this to my 2016 435i xDrive to change to 8,000km interval. Just a few questions:

1. In Esys, should I select F20 when preparing the connection?
2. I modified the V0 to change the 8KL to 8KP and coded KOMBI. What are people referring to when they are talking about FDL codes?

I'm completely new to this; not entirely sure what I am doing.

I just changed the VO to replace 8KA with 8KL and then VO coded the DME and KOMBI. I also did the HU-NBT and FEM_BODY for good measure but not sure it was necessary.

Of course, I then had to re-do my FDL coding in these modules but that was pretty quick and easy as I had it all recorded.

Nothing changed at first but, after a short drive, the CBS interval updated and it looks spot-on. Last Oil change was 2000 miles ago and it now wants the next in 8000 miles instead of 18000 miles !!!!! Crazy. BMW bang on about how important it is to maintain the vehicle according to their specified schedule and use any failure to do this to void your warranty. And then they set an oil change interval of 20000 miles.
I'm new to esys however I'd like to have this coded. What are the steps to doing this if possible. Thanks

I just did this on my F30.

I updated my VO code and manually updated both the DME and KOMBI values to match the 12K km interval.

I reset via bimmergeeks protool.

The interval stayed at 24000K km

Maybe it will update after some driving. Will update if it does.

Thank you
Try
DME > BSU-Config 3320 > OEL-Config = Wert_17

KOMBI L7_MID > CBS_Konfiguration 3009 > CBS_WEG_FAKTOR_FZG_CHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4
KOMBI L7_MID > CBS_Konfiguration 3009 > CBS_ZEIT_FAKTOR_FZG_CHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4

Is it possible to get to the DME via BimmerCode?

Specifically, I cannot find a path to:
335D ----- DME__DDE7xx > OHNE_ZEITLIMIT 3701 > OWI_NEU = wert_15

I have snips of every section I see but no DME?
I had no issues finding KOMBI

Thanks!

Update on my post in March last year:

I'm just coming up on the next oil change (1000 miles to go) and have noticed that the date has changed to the correct month (November 2022) at some point. Possibly, it happened when I had the brake fluid changed at the end of August. The car would have been connected to BMW's system at that time and maybe that's what did it.

Anyway, the coding obviously works as both the miles and the date are now correct and it survived being connected to BMW, as well, without getting reset back to 20,000 miles.

LOL, what an idiot!! It's just a coincidence that it's saying November 2022. That's 24 months since the last oil change. It's taken me 2 years to do 10,000 miles.

D'oh!

I was able to get this to finally work btw...

Initially I tried everything above... The FDL method, the VO method etc...

None of it would work. But I left 12000km / 12 months in the vo code as well as the FDL coding.

What ended up helping is going into ISTA and doing an CBS interval reset in there.

Now if it will continue to use the new interval next time I reset via BC button... I am unsure...

Did somebody successfully coded this using FDL only, with no VO coding?

KOMBI L7_MID > CBS_Konfiguration 3009 > CBS_WEG_FAKTOR_FZG_CHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4
KOMBI L7_MID > CBS_Konfiguration 3009 > CBS_ZEIT_FAKTOR_FZG_CHECK_DEPEND = faktor_4
320D/420D ----- DME__DDE7xx > OHNE_ZEITLIMIT 3701 > OWI_NEU = wert_10

320D/420D will work on your engine as well as is still a 2L diesel

Does somebody have the coding instructions for bimmercode? I want to change the interval on my f31 320d 2013 from 40k km / 24M to 15k km / 12M.

With bimmercode we cannot access DME.

I’ve coded FDL for 15tkm/1 year, and it’s working perfectly.

Hi, I have coded via FA to 8KP (8KP Oil-maintenance interval — 12 months/8,000 km)
Coded DME and KOMBI, but I saw strange thing:

NBT shows Oil Service due right, but Kombi seems decrases faster than in must be in real.

What can be wrong?

Notes: I've coded before:
Kombi ml to km
