Afternoon guys, has anybody fitted genuine M-Performance tailpipes to a standard rear silencer?

I have read online that these intermediate pipes are required - but the BMW part number 18302287042 is for the m240i only. Realoem.com suggest part numbers for the rear silencer for the m240i and 340i are the same.

In theory they should fit but thought I'd see if anyone else has done this before.

works out expensive. you can get tips for 100 quid now of the various sites.

I picked up a pair of genuine stainless tips from BMW in Peterborough for £100. That's a bargain. Yes, there are plenty of Chinese carbon fibre effect options out there for cheaper but they aren't for me, and they don't last long either.

That is a bargain TBH. I prefer chrome too. So going your route may be a option. Standard the tips are smaller. mppsk are larger so look better in chrome.
