Need brake torque specs
Well....since the TIS is gone I can't find a source for various torque specs on the F30. I need need the caliper bolt and guide pin torque values for FRONT 335 GREY BREMBO calipers and REAR 328 STOCK 1 PISTON calipers.
Thanks!

Ugh, nasty! Loved NewTIS
Found it as picture in a German Forum Front Caliper M12x1.5 -> 110 Nm Rear Caliper M12x1.5 -> 30 Nm and then add 90 Degrees Guide Pin Front and Rear 28 Nm https://www.motor-talk.de/bilder/dre...208133236.html

Heads up, the rear caliper bracket bolts are TTY (torque to yield), you should replace them every time you loosen.
And you'll want to make sure the car is jacked up nice and high, it was a nightmare getting those off on my car on Esco jack-stands set at a lower position. Wasn't enough clearance to get a breaker bar on them and not enough room for an impact gun. |

I'm about to do the rear brakes on my 2016 328ix LCI single piston and found this post that confirms the details above with a screen shot in English from TIS
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1354470 Seems like you are not supposed to turn an extra 90 degrees if you reuse the M12x1.5 bolt, but as bthomas518 mentioned the repair guide says they should be replaced. Last edited by GreenF30N26; 01-13-2021 at 02:53 PM.. |
