Correct, the only confirmed 8.8" screen that works with ENTRYNAV2 is the non-touch (6550)6822626.

Touch screen comes only with professional nav (NBT_EVO head unit).

Hi all, I have know receive what I need : new screen, wifi antenna, trim tools, and have scheduled remote coding session with Steve, but I'm a little bit afraid with dash removal. I never used the trim tool before. How to use it properly without damage the dash ? Which one is the most suitable (there is some flat, other with round part).
Any avise will be really appreciated, I plan to do it next week.
I have F20 LCI2.

Of course I will post some pictures of the operation, before and after

There is a thread on it and I uploaded some pictures of the LCi to it as well. Your best bet is to watch the video from kies motorsports. He explains it. However it's pretty simple and take a little bit of strength to pull it out. The tabs are large and should not easily break. Good luck

Hi all,

Removing the dash was the easy part. The disaster starts after.
First I try to plug the wifi antenna I bought behind the head unit and there is suitable ******ion.
Secondly, when I try to put the screen I bought (part 9387547), it does not fit too. My original screen back is symetric, and the one I bought have the right side larger than left side.
Is there a total mistake with my VIN/HU version ?

I ran into the same issue with my screen. You need a screen out of a 3/4 series. It has a symmetrical backing. It's something new they changed on the 2018 and newer. Bonus, the symmetrical screen is cheaper since the 3/4 series have had them for a while since they got the LCI refresh sooner. I believe my screen is out of a 2017 330i. I'll look for the part number I ordered when I get a chance. For the WiFi issue I'm not sure.. mine came with it installed already. My guess would be it's the blue connection that's empty on yours and you just have the wrong antenna for it

Ok, here is the plan.
Tomorrow we will try to activate carplay with Steve even without the wifi antenna.
If it does not work, I will not change the screen at all and let all original because I don't need the big screen if I don't have navigation on it (through carplay).
If it works, I will order another screen (the one for F3x with symetric back).

So the CarPlay might still work. Mine has worked without WiFi turned off on my phone but it's very slow and laggy. For the screen you can actually use the smaller one with CarPlay. In fact the screen size for CarPlay is the same on the larger screen. The right edge of the screen it blacked out, but you can also fill it with split screen. On the smaller screen I'm pretty sure that it will fill the entire screen.

Are you sure you ordered the correct WiFi antenna for your car? The best place to check is realoem.com

Yes, I want to use split screen with both carplay and spotify.
I can't find the reference for the wifi antenna on realoem.com.
I don't want to have slow and laggy carplay, I prefer to not have it at all, so will see.

Hello,

So here the conclusion of my coding session with Steve : no possibility to activate carplay because there is no wifi integrated and no possibility to add an antenna. He tried several things without success.
So I give up and will keep my car as it is wihtout carplay and with the small 6.5 screen (because i just use it to display album cover with spotify).

I finally ordered the screen part number 65506822626.
It fits perfectly with the dash...but it stay black.
I change Display_Variante to breites_display.
Display_Resolution was already set to 10.25_1280x480, I tried to change to 8.8_1280x480 but screen stay definitively black.
Then I try to modify another setting what was on Apix2, I tried all the value including auto, the screen now display "NO SIGNAL", so the screen is working but nothing display.
Is anyone have an idea of what goes wrong ?

HU_ENTRYNAV2 requires a slightly different coding, double-check if you have coded these values correctly:

3005 DISPLAY_PIP_CONFIG:

• CID_DISPLAY_SIZE = 8.8
• CID_DISPLAY_RES = 1280x480
• DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display

EDIT: No need to change Apix2 settings, try reverting them back to the original values.

It is grayed out if your engine isn't running. Try turning your ignition on.

Engine is running, I also tested with engine running and car stop, still grey.
