2018 340i M Performance Edition

Hey everyone,

I bought a 2018 330i M-Sport in silver in December last year after trading in my 2016 MK7 Golf R. Loved the golf, but always lusted after a bimmer.

After having the car, I started regretting not going for a 340, especially since the 330 was technically a step backwards in power when compared to the golf.

My 330 got written off a month back, and this time I really wanted a 340. Found one Laguna Seca Blue M Performance Edition 340i in my dealer’s lot and I jumped on it.

The interior with the full merino leather is so much better in this car, and I love the exhaust. It has the MPPSK as standard equipment and even after one month and 1400kms later, I still can’t have enough of the pops and crackles in sport mode. The B58 straight six is a beast.

I had never seen Laguna Seca in real life, estoril and Atlantis used to be my favourite BMW blues, but Laguna Seca is up there now .

Congrats! I love that color! Haven't seen a Laguna Seca F30 yet! I went a similar route. Went from an Audi S4 and downgraded to a 328i. Then I went to a 340i!

Honestly, when I just decided to browse the dealer's lot during after hours, the color just had me. I was initially looking at an S4, but wow, the colour and I was sold !

Once you get used to more power, it really is super hard to downgrade. I thought the 250hp in 330 would be more than enough, and even though the car was quick, this one is something else. Way faster than Golf R too ! And that sound

I have read a lot about B58, and now I can see why, this engine is a beast. Haven't really pushed it a lot since break-in period, but I love it.

This car is a lease, but so far I have enjoyed the car and the colour so much, I might end up buying it out.

Great car. I also went from a 430 to a 440 and can second your comments on the differences.

Sure, I will take some photos after work and post them. I was never a fan of digital gauges, but I guess I am starting to like them now. Merino leather feels so much better than the Dakota I had before.

330/430 are great cars, but the B58 engines are something special.

Thank you . I was a little on the fence about the wheels, but I guess they grew on me.

I almost bought this car's twin in Halifax last month. Decided to go with something a little more stealth and also because my wife would have murdered me when I started the MPSSK at 5:30AM each morning

If it wasn't for the early morning wake the neighbors and kids exhaust, I would have bought the car. I say that as I now look at a Remus exhaust... on the basis it is quieter than the MPSSK

LSB is a great colour and the full Merino is really nice too! Congrats.

Thank you and I totally get the exhaust thing. I park in an underground garage in my apartment, and when I start it in the morning, it feels like a little explosion ! I love it though .

LSB looks great, but is also an attention magnet, so many Subaru’s want to race me .

Excellent choice! And color as well, I don't think I've ever seen a LSB F30 before. I assume that was an individual color the dealer had done?

It's been one of my favorite colors ever since I saw it on an E46 M3

Yes, the dealer had one LSB and one Tanzanite blue on the lot, both individual orders plus one frozen silver 440i.

It's my favourite too now ! Had never seen this colour in person before.

Man, talk about perfect timing!

That dealer sounds like they pick some cool cars. I love the Frozen Silver too!

I had a hard time selecting between all three of them tbh. Beautiful colours and yes, now they also have a sunset orange 340i M Perfomance Edition on the lot.

I love this colour so much, I might end up keeping this car after the lease ends.
