I knew i was going to get the higher tax bracket, so ordered all the extras I want. List price was £54,400.
My V5 says I pay the higher tax until 2023. Car was registered 21st December 2017.
I paid £500 (although should have been £520?) when I collected the car, and my renewal says £450.

I had every intention of buying an F31 shadow that just scrapped under the bracket with minimal options but a deal came up on a G11 which was way over £40k list and thought sod it. The wife was not quite so accepting when I told her road tax cost.

The thing thatís gets me is that the £40k threshold will stay now with little movement in the future. As prices increase each year it wonít be long before a Mondeo Ghia or a Passat is falling into the premium bracket.
