Car Accident =(

Its going to be one of those weeks, so i left early from work to pick up the baby. Turned a corner and down a road to go pick up the little one when a car comes out of the blue.

the front of my car is all squashed in and well its not something you want to deal with before xmas.

I was not speeding and in my eyes the car failed to stop at the junction which is marked.

Airbags did not deploy as i was not going at speed and all the front of the car is squashed in. still movable but not legal

*sigh*

Please can you all send my car and myself some love

Well at least that video shows the other person is 100% at fault. Fucknugget.

Not much you could have done to avoid it.

Sorry to hear that.

Well done for having a dash cam. 100% not your fault and you have irrefutable evidence to prove it. Just goes to show how little awareness some drivers have of the roads that they're driving on - going straight through a give way junction should be prosecuted as Driving Without Due Care and Attention. Did you get the police involved ? I think they'd be interested to see your video footage.

Airbags not deploying is a good sign - your car will be repairable.

Theirs with the side airbags could be a write off. When those go off thats a few quid to fix.

Someone please take the driving licence off the other driver and make them take a retest, since they obviously don't know the rules of the road.

Damn sorry to hear this, as you say not what you want just before Christmas, but at least there shouldn't be any problems with liability.

Quite a lot of front end damage there, makes you wanna be driving an old Toyota pick up truck like the one they couldn't kill on top gear when one of these idiots pulls out on you.

No need at all to sell. Insist on a BMW warranted repair and it'll be at least as good as new.

Really sorry to see this... of course it's sad that the motor got bent, but glad you're okay. Good soundtrack too, is it really happy hour again?!

Let's hope there's a nice courtesy car in it for you, especially for a non-fault like this!

I'll bet you do... it'll be good as new before you know it!

I'm impressed with the quality of the cam footage. I've thought about having them installed before, but every time I begin to look at them I get bogged down in the number of options and give up. I assume you'd rate yours?

Doesn't matter who fixes it, it will never be as it was especially the colour match.

100% for dashcams. Got rear ended twice this year, every time I was stationary. After the first 1st time I went ahead and installed dashcams in all my cars.

The missus has the same Thinkware F770 2CH, image quality is very good, built in voltage cut off monitor and speed alerts. I had the same but kept on getting battery drain errors. Ended up going with the Blackvue DR750S-2CH + Multisafer, awesome image quality esp with the 60FPS, catches number plates on high speeding cars which otherwise would be just a blur.

Bummer on the crash, but it's clear that the other driver didn't stop.

Sorry to hear. I mean the other driver didn't even bother looking in either direction or slow down whatsoever. I can only presume they didn't realise it was a junction - road markings look faded. Either way, 100% their fault.

Think we all agree, tell the plod. I know we can all make mistakes when driving, particularly if getting nagged from front or rear seats but those lines are very clear and no attempt to stop is made at all, even the look the look on their face is saying, 'why are you there', because i'm in the right !!

thanks all, feeling better. just soo lucky the little one was not in the car. I was a corner away away from pick up.

yes didn't slow down at all. unsure if they noticed road markings because no sign of slowing down or stopping.

got a brand new merc e class amg 2.2 with no fold down seats =(

need to go through this crap on Monday as they are saying I am at fault. if this continues I am tempted to just keep the merc for longer as its a few hundred plus a week. I don't really want to be that person who submits the dash footage for prosecution but I am getting pushed to do so.

If my daughter was in the car or this was someone else it could have been far worse. the neighbours came out asking for speed bumps but that's not going to help someone ignoring rules of the road and just burning across without stopping
