I noticed it when the passenger side view mirror squeaked when folding. It's the main housing unit with the mirror - not the cap - that has seemingly popped off the hinge. Anyone else run into this? I tried to remove the mirror but it wouldn't come off and the last thing I want to do is break that too. 2014 328i

Auto shop said part of the metal is bent in the housing. If I can find that piece on ebay they will replace it for much cheaper than going to a dealer.

I'm not seeing specific housing parts on ebay so looks like I'm on the hook for the entire mirror (excluding the glass). Bummer

There are literally a hundred different combinations of the F30 or F32 base unit mirrors and most sellers on eBay do not list exactly what base Units they are selling.

F30 or F32 (3 series do not fit in 4 series and vice versa)
Shadowline or not
Camera or not
Heated or not
Autodim or not
Memory or not
BlindSpot Indicator or not

Some options can only be confirmed by looking at the donor vin
