Replacement Pads and Discs
Hi
Does anyone know if Ferodo pads and discs are any good? They're about £100 cheaper than Pagids and Brembos (£114 compared to £210 - standard rears). Also, I'm going to paint the hub sections this time to prevent rusting. Would standard Hammerite metal paint be ok or do I need some special heat resistant stuff? If so, any recommendations? Thanks |

Ferodo have been making disc parts for decades, nothing wrong with them IMHO.
Brake pads can be sold like fine wine over here (£££'s), but it doesn't have to be the case and, like many things in life, high price doesn't automatically mean good performance. Yes, heat resistant paint would be best. I've used Aluminium coloured aerosol from Halfords range of high temperature paint. Several thin layers to keep the moisture out. I've not used primer, as I couldn't find anything high temperature rated. Has seemed all good in my experience. |
