The map data is going to be *alot* harder to come by going forward. As of 01-01-2015, BMW shut down all of the internet facing map repository servers (which is how most people were able to use the HDD-Update program from ISPI Next to download maps).

All of the map downloads are now locked away behind BMW's dealership portal (S-Gate Europe, S-Gate ZA and Dealerspeed) in the ISPI Cockpit console. Also, simply having an account there doesn't get you access either, ISPI Cockpit normally requires an access level of Service Manager or higher in order to get in so it's not something a lot of people are going to have.

BMW has been actively tightening security around their platforms, especially in terms of retrofitting and coding. It's already been evidenced by the recent changes in the ISTA/P data in relation to E-Sys and trimming of the CAFD data starting in 3.54 and getting worse in 3.55. It's gaining more evidence with the changes to the map repositories and I wouldn't be surprised if they start making changes to the ISPI Next versions of ISTA/D and ISTA/P before too long.

It'll soon get to the point that it won't be worth the time or the effort to keeping acquiring these to put out for everybody. It already costs a fair amount just for the bandwidth costs to seed all of the map updates out to everyone (my outbound bandwidth is roughly 50-75 terabytes a *month* just in seeding).

Torrent links are working, there was a problem yesterday afternoon with it, but they are all working now.
Thank you for the very informative article; and thank you for the links as well...

Just to confirm I don't need to recreate my FSC file as I created one with 2015-1. I can use this again can't I? Thanks

You can use the existing .fsc file. All that needs updating is the generators lookup.xml

Thanks. Unless I am blind I can't find the updated lookup details. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for this guide. It got me out of bind just now where I had updated my maps with a lifetime code I bought online, but the next day the car asked for a code again and wouldn't accept it. I generated a new one the way you specified and now it works again. Phew...

Does anyone know if I need a matching PsdzData version in case I only want to extract the DE/1B file or only in the case of FDL coding?

Lookup.xml (separate download), updated with 2015-2 CIC Motion and Premium East and East.

Also changed the way to get the FSC Generator files, now from the original place where I got them from.

I'm sure it's been said before but are you not entitled to free map upgrades during the vehicle warranty period?

Hi There,

Does anyone have a link to the CIC premium Europe West 2015-2 maps please?
I know that they have only just come out but thought that I would ask.

Happy to pay someone some beer vouchers for the DVD's if they prefer.

Thanks
Andrew

No. BMW have not done Map upgrades for free during the warranty period.

However, this will be changing from July 2015 onwards for some models. BMW will be providing Over the Air upgrades (via the SIM card in the car) for Navigation Maps for a period of 3 years (in the UK) on new cars sold from July 2015 onwards.

I do not know which exact models, but I seem to remember it is the 3 and 5 series - but may stand corrected.
