BMW AEB - Pretty Impressive

First videos I've seen of this in effect, pretty effective I'd say, fair play! These tests are around 2 mins in and I couldn't see any F30 ones etc......

Does anyone know if AEB vetoes accelerator input if the car is at a stop?

Say if I floor it while stopped in traffic, can I expect to hit the car in front, not move at all or have something in between?

My car sometimes plays that audible alarm and flashes up something about a collision on the dash is that what it is? It never brakes (well it hasn't done yet) but it's always wrong about the situation.

Audi pre-sense dropped my Lv.com price from approx 800 to 500! There’s a section for AEB and dash cam etc. Funny thing is that the basic one on the s5 is standard but still have to tick the box.

Worth it

My mums X5 has this, I don't think it will auto brake but it just flashes a warning of a red car in the HUD and beeps. Always goes off. I might try to hit some cardboard boxes down the driveway one day to test it haha

My insurance was around £2500-3000 but got a quote with LV on my F32 and selected the parking sensor and dash cam option and dropped it to £1800. Still a lot but a fair saving!

Did you try a quote with a blackbox?

I must have had a dashcam in my car for atleast 8 years now.... and i've never been able to get an insurance discount for it - they always claim it doesnt make it less likely to have an accident

Haha, 19 when I got my car and took out the policy. Didn't want a blackbox, couldn't keep up the BMW driver stereotype with one
