Hartside drive/meet

So once every month or so during the drier months I tend to go on a little drive over to hartside pass then often through to windermere on some amazing roads. I go with a mate who has an F30 335. I just thought I'd see if anyone on here would be up for either tagging along for the drive from Newcastle or up for meeting at hartside cafe?

Theres often other meets up there with some nice cars and since this forum seems to have very few meets compared to the others I've been on it I thought it may be worth suggesting.

I think the 5th October will be the next drive if anyones interested drop me a message.

There isn't a lot left of the Hartside Cafe after a fire in 2018:

If only they resurfaced it, it somewhat resembles the surface of the moon in that car park!

Blimey, didn't know it burnt down.

Was there a few years ago with the wife who had never been to the area, we took the route that I used to do with my folks when I was a kid living in North Shields and we use to head over to Ullswater, stopping at the Cafe.

New CGi looks impressive, great view as long as you're not in the clouds!

I was up there a few years ago on a bike trip . stunning roads stunning views ,hartside car park utter crap for bikes , be nice to see it re modelled and re built .
sadly its just too far away for a regular jaunt .
the ride up from the south to the café fantastic only spoilt by knobs in cars thinking they are quicker than a 1000 cc missile of a bike . take note no bmw,s tried it on only
corsa,s ,astras golfs etc etc .

There's probably plenty of cars that are quicker than a 1000cc bike coming from the west, it's really twisty on that side and cars fair far better going round corners than bikes can!

Shame I'm away down wales watching the WRC or I'd of attended as I live local to Hartside! Looking forward to it being rebuilt and it should get more popular again for meets etc.
