The 40d deal is a cracker, I guess it's base spec and just 8k per annum on that deal so a few extras and a decent mileage and you'll be £650+ I presume.

Not my ideal car, but I like a smooth 3 litre, petrol or diesel, and I can't find anything cheaper with one. I don't need any extras if they have a base spec, but will need 20k a year miles. |

I'd imagine M40d on base spec but 20k miles a year will be £600 a month plus... |

All got extras on them. They're just doing a quick search for the one with the least spec to do me a price. I might be wrong, but there might be a deal to be done. If they're advertised at this price, there could be more to go at, who knows. I'll soon find out! |

If its like the M5 ads, not much to be had unless you stick to your guns on spec. I know a few people with the M5 who got the extra spec over what they had as base line discounted back to next to nothing....
Stock car, delivery by end Sept, be firm and you may get what you need... |

worked for me (well all bar 5 quid a month...) and when I threatened to walk over that and they said ok, I knew I had reached their bottom, and by then I liked the guy for his honesty (for a salesman!)

My mileage adds about £100 to the payment, and with the M sport Plus they said £634. I tried it on and told them I wanted to pay £580 tops. They further discounted to get it to £599. For now I've left them stewing on it. Or perhaps it's me stewing on it. |

God knows why, the cheapest pre LCI 16 plate on autotrader is £23k, the cheapest 17 plate, which mine is, is £26k. I know they like to make money, but seems a little extreme. Not actually called a dealer. What's the name of the site where BMW dealers can bid on it, anyone know? |

I do have a contact who deals with the buyers at main dealer groups (via MashinBenzin ) but mileage on yours might be too high... attempted margin on my Audi (v what they paid me) is 15% out of which they have to pay prep, delivery, tyres, VAT on profit element.... and will probably discount it a bit so total margin is less than 10% before costs... |

Happy to wait and VT to be honest. Not sure why there's £5-8k difference from trade in to retail for it. I'm more used to £3-5k. Even at the outstanding £21.5k finance from next week, it's still cheaper by several thousand than anything on Autotrader. |

This is the exact phrase. You need to go in with the 'look in because the Ad you guys are publicising says £XX.XX and that what I can do in Sept' Plus 'oh it's got Tech Pack and Comfort Pack, that's great but I'm not really interested in them' Never blink first

They walked anyway. Still a good price at £599 M Sport Plus Pack and 20k a year. They've pretty much discounted off the M Sport Plus Pack totally, as the 12,000 extra miles are worth £100 a month when you look at new quotes. Looks like the M Sport Plus is also something I'd want anyway, with the 21 inch wheels and dark windows, adaptive suspension etc. Mixed views on the looks with the big greenhouse windows, but pimped in M40d and M Sport Plus I'll probably like it. Then follows a difficult conversation with my wife, which I'll save for tomorrow night. Need some rehearsals in my head first, and need to pick the mood..... |
