M sport brake conversion

Hi I found some blue Brembos off of a 2016 m235. How difficult is it to install on my 428 x drive?? I think they are the 340mm ones for the front. Do I need new dust shields? Anything special you have to do when installing a new caliper? Any insight I would appreciate

On first glance, appears to be some differences between the M235 and 428ix rears.

I have an F33 (420d from 2015), and recently got a M4 brakes in great condition, naively thinking I could just fit them right on. wrong. looking to get specialist to come up with adapters. Any thoughts?

But the correct answer.

Your master brake cylinder isn't as strong as the F8x platform either so the brakes will never perform properly or faster than your current brakes. So you'll actually go backwards in terms of braking.

You can be certain which size front blue calipers you have by looking at the back of it. 340's say "340" on the back. 370's say "370/380" on the back because they will fit 380mm rotors on M3/M4 because mounting points are 5mm further from center. (NO, you can't fit 380's on F3x)

Check realoem for the part number for the front dust shield on your car and see if it matches the part number that they so for the dust shield for the other car.

When you change calipers, upgrade to stainless steel brake lines. Much more solid brake pedal feel. StopTech set of four is only $106. Install line by screwing it into the back of the new caliper while it's on the bench. Then install new rotor with one stainless rotor screw per rotor (~$4 each at EVS/Turner). Bolt new caliper on over new rotor. Then attach other end of brake line. Install pads and replace brake fluid per instructions.

you need the matching 370mm f3x rotors, calipers are same. I have a front pair listed in the classifieds.
