Changing alloy wheel sizes
Hi, I have an F30 BMW 330D SE Xdrive automatic. I want to change the standard 17 inch alloys to some Msport 442 19 inch alloys, will this affect the automatic gearbox or 4 wheel drive system?
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Make sure that the tires are the correct size for an F30 with Xdrive. From what I recall the tire sizes should be the same all around. There is no affect on the transmission whatsoever.

You can run staggered on xDrive but pay attention to keeping front and rear close to same height.

If the height of the wheels don't change and they fit the car. i don't see why you can't go ahead. Make sure however that the width of the wheel would fit in. Check out a bmw wheel fitting chart and willtheyfit.com. This should tell you exactly if it's a go or not.
