340i on order! Alpine White/Dakota Red/M Sport/Track Handling *UPDATED - DELIVERED!*

Hello everyone!

Just joined a few days ago, but have been lurking around for some time. I started my search for a 335i last year, but then held off because I moved. I'm sure glad I held off because when the LCI was announced, I lost my mind!

Anywho, long story short. Just put my order in for a 340i. I'm excited to have a non-x drive model in the northeast. It seems like a unicorn car up here. Now beings the long wait (dealer estimates 7-8 weeks).
  • Alpine White
  • Coral Red Dakota Leather
  • Ash Grain Wood Trim
  • 19" 442M Orbit Grey Wheels
  • Sport Automatic Transmission
  • M Sport Package
  • Track Handling Package
  • Driver Assistance Package
  • Adaptive M Suspension
  • Heated Front Seats
  • Black Kidney Grills
  • Front Splitter - Black
  • M Performance Exhaust
  • Rear Spoiler - Carbon Fiber
  • MSRP - $54,895 (without port installed options)
  • Final MSRP - $58,275

I originally was told that there was a carbon fiber front splitter available, but my CA wasn't 100% sure because of the LCI. The front splitter was for the 4 series, and fit onto the pre-LCI. As of right now, no carbon fiber splitter. I was also told that I could get the 403M wheels (which I loved), even with the Track Package. Again, I was told when they were placing the order that they couldn't do it, so I went with the 442's.

Awww yeah!

Just used the build configurator on BMW USA and then made them bigger with that fancy button.

It's not doing to do it justice in person, that I'm sure of!

The ash grain trim is easily the best trim option in my opinion

Yep, agreed. I was hoping they would bring back a nice dark wood trim, and boy did they. The anthracite was nice, but this takes it to a whole other level.

It looks good on the all black interior of mine with my black Dakota leather

Hi: May I ask how much did you purchase the car for? You can send me a personal message if you don't want to post it on the forum. Thanks.

Build week 9 confirmed!!

Moved to status 112 today. I'm attaching my build sheet if anyone is interested. Probably going to try and add the M Performance Exhaust. My dealer is having issues adding the carbon fiber rear spoiler (option not showing in his system as a port installed accessory, even though it has been forever).

Just got an update that mine has been bumped up to week 9 like yours. However mine a South Africa build so we still have different shipping times.

Hmm, I wonder what makes it a SA build vs Munich?

Either way, some cool ass cars are on the way!

My guess would be which factory it is built in.

Sarcasm aside, 163Q models are built in Germany and 163T builds are in South Africa.

Probably x amount of Germany builds and y amount of South Africa builds are allocated to each dealer.

My dealer probably ran out of Germany builds so I got stuck with the SA build. Or maybe because mine is manual. Who knows
