I've seen a couple posts on the b58 facebook group have their bearing on the pure 800 go out causing it to leak oil into the exhaust. I'm sure it's isolated cases and they are known for having a good warranty but have any of you experienced it as well?
Apparently their membrane on the valve cover broke

Well the video I saw the bearing itself was bad. Had a ton of play.

NoClutch definitely found a problem that is a good idea to keep in mind though before condemning the turbo

He's talking about Brennen's Supra. The turbo failed. It's a very rare instance and Pure is warrantying it, though either way it sucks for the car to be down waiting on a fixed turbo.

Bumping this for the guys who have run their new turbos for a few months now especially with the weather warming up.

With the doc racing turbo? Have you experienced any heat related issues with your harness or other plastics that are now much closer to the down-pipe than they were before?

Have you gotten your tunes yet? Any reliability problems with the higher horse power output?

I'm still on low boost (peaking ~23psi) but no issues. My manifold is ceramic coated, my turbo has a blanket, and my downpipe is ceramic coated + exhaust wrap.I'd recommend getting a turbo blanket or coating on the exhaust housing at a minimum since the turbo sits right by the valve cover.

Those are just drop shipped from china. Roll of the dice if they will last or if they were actually balanced.

Staying completely on pump gas

GC, GC+, Pure800, Pure850?

Which one will get me the closest to 500WHP with a custom tune and hpfp upgrade?

answer is here.

I have no dog in this fight, but this seems to be untrue. You can see videos of the turbos being assembled and machined in the states. Check out their social media, only positive reviews on the B58 Facebook groups
