I don't think so. Kies Motorsports has a nice Wifi OBD adapter for $100 and they are having a black friday sale. It works for MHD, BM3, Bimmercode, Bimmerlink, iCarly, etc.
Also, BM3 is working on On the Fly map switching for the B58 platform so MHD and BM3 will truly be option 1a and 1b. |

No experience with bootmod, but the Mhd with the 93 oct and a few other goodies introduced the traction control to me. With a few other tidbits it's a monster now. Super easy to use as well.

Can’t go wrong with either one. I’ve been on bm3 for 2 years (car was tuned 3 days after purchase lol) nothing but good things to say for it. Platform is so easy to use. Protuningfreaks always gets back with their email in a timely manner with any of my questions.
People usually go with whatever tuning platform their tuner works with ( if you plan on the custom tune route in the future) not saying you can’t find a solid tuner on one and not the other. Other benefits to bm3 is you can get a used license for around $350 and get the full map pack for $50 more. If you purchase new you have the choice to sell in the future for some money back. Also anti lag feature just been released if you plan on going the big turbo (not no hybrid) route. Many of the fastest gen1 b58 cars were or still am tuned on it. |
