Thanks! I was happy with any combo so long as the exterior was a colour I liked but this does lift the cabin a bit I think!

Did you fit the blacks yourself or get the dealer to do it?

When I changed them on the 330D I put them on eBay. After 2 months they went for 」20. Not going to be very popular unfortunately

Just got the dealer to do it - they put the original grilles in the boxes the black ones came in. As mich as they池e easy to do DIY i知 always wary with a brand new car.

Managed to connect and activate all the bits and pieces today.

The remote activate function on the connected app isn't connecting which is annoying so I'll give bmw a ring.

Aside from that, it's a lovely place to be and while I'm sticking to the running in period, it is very very tempting to put my foot down!

It can take a day before the app and car sync up. I found logging in to bmw connect on a pc and activating remote services and setting an secret question got mine working after a couple hours. Don't forget to enable GPS tracking in idrive also if not already done.

I知 a fan of this combo too. Really like the cognac leather with black/mineral grey cars. Lovely looking motor, enjoy.

I went out originally looking for a newer 4 series than my 2013 320d, but was drawn into this offer. After some initial difficulties with the dealer locating a 420d that matched what I wanted we had a discussion about returning my deposit. He ended up coming up with a 430d for 」10 a month more! 」5750 dealer contribution, 」4700 discount from list, clearing my existing finance and cash back to cover year 2 of the higher car tax!

So, I have pulled the trigger on the below:

F32 430d M Sport Coupe N57 3.0d LCI
Black Sapphire
Coral Red with Black highlight Dakota Leather
Driver Comfort Package
Comfort Access
Exterior Mirrors - folding with anti-dazzle
Extended storage
M Sport Plus package
Electric seats
LED lights
19" Bicolour Orbit Grey 704 M double-spoke
M Sport braking system
Sun protection glass
High-beam Assistant
Loudspeaker system - harman/kardon surround sound Air Breather in body colour
Sport seats, front
Carbon Aluminium interior trim with Pearl Chrome finisher
Digital Cockpit
M Sport suspension
M Steering Wheel
M aerodynamic bodystyling
Exterior trim, High-gloss Shadowline
Headlining, Anthracite
Speed limit display

Collection on 22nd December. Happy Christmas to me!!

I have collected my 440i GC Coupe now, and am very happy.

Feels so much quicker, and way more of a shove in the back, than my pervious 428i Coupe, which was no slouch !

I'm keeping it under 4k RPM until it's done it's first 1000 miles.

The exhaust note it's definitely deeper and has more of a rumble than my old 428i, even at idle, and 600-2.5k rpm range, when blipped when cold with the window down, you do get some very subtle pops on the overrun, interestingly switching from Comfort to sport doesn't seem to make much difference, in idle noise, it was more pronounced on my 428i.

Having said that the 428i made no decent noise until it was past 4k rpm, but I think that was pipped into the cabin via the speakers, 440i is sounding much better inside and out, only wish I could of had the MPPESK on it, but no go for cars built after July 2018, my car was built week 48 this year ;-) and arrived at the dealer on Wednesday last week !

Enjoy your new cars

Enjoy your new ride. The 40i just gets better and better with miles under its belt.

I'm 28 months in now and still relish the refinement and easy performance on every journey. It's utterly spoilt me as to what to have under the bonnet of our next car... that's the sole downside!

You'll need to weigh up any 0% offer carefully against BMW's current campaigns (depending on what you're looking at buying)

The 0% "across the range" needs funded from somewhere, which will most likely be the available discounts. So you may pay no interest, but the car will be more expensive in the first place

possibly. although in the previous offer (the one blueislander highlighted in the opening post), both the interest rate *and* discounts were improved from the 1.9% standard that was live before that.

Is the sound not piped in to the 440i as well? It sounds a bit 'fake' in the cabin.

I've been away with the family using our other car so this has been sat wondering why it wasn't getting used... Well I got to put some miles on yesterday with a drive into the Borders. Still keeping it low on revs and yet to even engage the paddles, but it was a lovely experience to just configure everything.

The seats are really supportive for my frame (I'm all legs lol), and the low driving position is a nice change from my bolt-upright Mazda.

The ride is the best surprise, it's definitely smoother than the 420d I sat in a while back, and the engine isn't intrusive but you know its there. Its a lovely combo of not waking the neighbours at six am but if the pedal goes down I can definitely here that B58 start to engage.

More than anything I just like the looks. Properly stealth. Going in for a detail next week and then the grilles and lip spoiler will go on.

420 vs 430d

Hi. New to these Forums. Was just wondering if anyone could help?
Im in a very split decision between a 420d and 430d. As a car I know the 430d is miles better but I commute alot to work and need something which is fuel efficient - would regret getting a 3.0L to then find out im spending ALOT (like 」100-200) more on fuel. I do around 600 miles a month on 50%Motorway 50%daily shopping etc and was wondering what I would be spending on fuel per month on average for both the 420 and 430d? Any help would be much appreciated!

600 miles is not diesel territory, get a petrol, treat yourself to a 440i. If you really want a diesel then the 30d would be the best option, they池e not far off the 20d MPG level, maybe 5 MPG which is nothing really considering the enjoyment you値l get from 6 cylinders instead of 4.

Thanks for your reply! How much extra fuel do you reckon I would put extra from the 420d in a 430 if I was to do like 800-1000 miles per month?
