There really is no rhyme or reason to them. I have 2020-1 for 1region and 2019-3 for another region. Usually,when I change regions,a few weeks later I get 3 updates over a few days. My latest one is 2020-1. I have never been that up to date. How did you get 2021. I have never seen that.

OTA map updates will happen on a regional basis due to their size of data. From reading other posts the manual USB data is around 40gb, so OTA they split it into small chunks as it only goes through the 3G sim in the car.

Regarding connected drive, I will re-subscribe in October this year for the ConnectedDrive mid range package. I find the rtti very accurate and the extended voice control is useful and works well with the nav. The extra info I get on the app for the eDrive services is useful too. I suppose at the end of the day, it depends on whether your car has the base functions to accept what ConnectedDrive can offer...

I have updated NAV manually.
