Expert mode allows you to get everything you want using a cheat sheet for any options not already listed in the app. I did get some warnings/errors (e.g. Lighting and Chassis Stabilization) after coding a few things (even with engine not running), but they went away on their own after turning the ignition off and on, so I'm not too worried. Significantly less work than figuring out E-Sys...

Here's the full list of what I was able to successfully code on my 2015 F32 435i:

Disable iDrive legal disclaimer
Disable camera legal disclaimer
Fold mirrors when locking with keyfob, change delay to 0.2 secs
Unfold mirrors when unlocking with keyfob
Change iDrive startup animation to M logo
Display individual pressure and temperature on TPMS display
Enable Sport Displays (hp/tq)
Turn off radio when driver door is opened
Unlock driver door when ignition off
Enable digital speedometer on instrument cluster
Disable initial seat belt warning
Change seat belt reminder duration to 5 secs
Auto Start-Stop set to off by default

Did I miss anything?

How about having the audio system volume memorize where you left it or at least come up higher than 25%?

Shouldn't be an issue using Expert Mode. Once you make the physical modification to the light switch, here is the coding that needs to be done (pulled from another thread):

REM Module

REM -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_L_output: nsl_l
REM -> Mapping_Nebelschlussl_R_output: nsl_r

FEM_BODY
3060 NSL_Verbaut: verbaut

I did this coding using my laptop a while ago, but I see no reason why it can't be done with the app. Although, it would be nice if the app had a search function, which would make finding the parameters easier as there are a lot of them to sift through....

Edit: I stand corrected, there is the ability to search in Expert Mode - I completely missed it (the search window is along the top of the screen after you open an ECU, similar to other iOS apps). I am really liking this app even more now.

There is a search function in the app. Just go to the correct module, hit expert mode, then search up the necessary code. I coded my rear fogs using Bimmercode with the code above.

I just paid for the unlock, the app is requiring an in app update but when I try to update it never completes. Any idea why?

Sorry about that lmao, I got distracted and was modifying some previously coded stuff until like 1:30 AM. So the sport+ worked (which I expected) but the I could not get the SAT or launch. After some research, it seems as if the sports auto transmission is only available to 2014+ vehicles.

If I remember correctly, this requires one to then VO code FA and change 205 (automatic transmission) to 2TB (SAT). After this you will have access to the EGS module to change the values accordingly.

You can do the EGS changes either way you choose but since you need to VO code those parameters, it just makes sense to do the rest via E-Sys.

Bimmer code is awesome. So mad I threw money down the drain with Carly. Carly is just fine I guess. But overpriced. And with no expert mode, you are at their mercy to wait for an update for a feature.

I could see how it would be. As a tech lover and programmer, I naturally will go to any means to code my vehicle as much as possible without hesitation. I guess if I brick my car we will have our answer to whether or not that is a good thing lol.

I have a cable coming in tomorrow (too lazy to wait for a cheap China OBDII to make my own) so I guess I'll be the guinea pig. My car is as bare bones as you could imagine: non-M sport, no cold weather package, tech package, navi, comfort access, PDC, nothing. I don't have my hopes set to high, but If I'm able to do it then just about anyone should. In the event that things go well, I will let you guys know if and how the layout of the BimmerCode app changes.

Just remember, at the end of the day no one is breathing down your neck while your coding. As long as you watch any available coding tutorial and/or read the instructions carefully. If you need to rewatch/read the instructions 20 times then so be it. Just take your time and you should be good to go!
