Wipers

Hi. Think I need to replace the front and possibly rear wipers on my 2017 340i Touring and just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I’d usually go for Bosch but should I get genuine BMW wipers? Thanks.

I recently ordered wiper blades for my X3 from here.

Half the price quoted from OEM and good quality Valeo blades.

Valeo are exactly the same as the ones BMW supply but with a white valeo logo and at least half the price. It is obvious that Valeo must male the OEM ones fir BMW. Inexpensive and perfect, no judder.
I did a post a while back when I had my 3 series will see if U can find it as it has all the codes on it.

Worth also noting that you can buy the Valeo ones and use some nail varnish remover to get rid of the logos…then truly OEM at half the price.

Good idea. I used a black permanent marker to colour them in, but even better to remove the white paint.

Get the Bosch. Overcomplication not necessary.

No, it's not a piss take. Yes I black out the white lettering, what's wrong with that?

Previous threads would seem this the norm - the writing looks horrendous IMO.

Previous car was an M3, a daily for six years. I've always felt the factory M badges do not belong on my diesel, I might just get the felt tips out

Hadn't noticed the name in the wipers until I read this thread.

Tbh, doesn't bother me. My car was debadged at build - so this is actually the only badge on my car!!!

I also changed to Bosch and found they started to judder after a while, so went for the Valeo set.

I still find them a little noisy most of the time and have tried wiping them (and the glass) etc, but they don't glide like you would expect!? I have no idea whether it's the arms causing this or what. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know - thanks.

White spirit vinegar may help, just along the rubber.

I replaced mine a few months ago from OEM and they are the same, if not better due to being new.

I am sure I have tried white vinegar before, but I will give it another go. Thanks.

I ordered a new set of Valeo's (VF371) based off of sensible recommendation and mine don't have any Valeo branding on them whatsoever. Not sure if thats how Valeo ship them now or if just a one off but not complaining either way

Must be a recent change as mine don't have the Valeo logo on them either.

I did notice they have a plastic hinge pin versus a stainless steel pin on the BMW supplied ones, so they're not exactly the same as earlier posts claim.
