What cars have a 2011 N55 engine replacement?

Engines seem to be hard to find so I may look for a junker to get one from. What BMW models came with the N55? My car is a 2011 335i.

Mine is 2012 and is n55.

All models (except Z4) had the N55 ranging from E82 135i, F22 M235i, F32 435, F10 535i to 640i and 740i. However there are variants so a N55 is not just a N55. Check ETK (RealOEM, Bimmercat and others) to find the exact models that are compatible with your model.

OK, thanks for the info. The latest in this saga of an N55 with bad crank is I am trying to see if I can use an N54 crank in the N55 engine I have been trying to rebuild. I have a spare 8 bolt flywheel which they changed to 6 bolt on the "new" N55 so i will see if this N54 crank lines up.
