One of the salesmen--err, client advisors--at my dealership just got his 340i delivered with its port installed M Performance Exhaust.

It listed for $1620 on the window sticker and has an invoice of $1165, iirc. It was in the 11-hundreds; of that, I'm sure.

BMW definitely over-thought the labeling of this thing. I got on my stomach to take this picture. Who is this label for, I wonder?

I'm sure you could order it from Germany/Europe - it's already available there.

I know, but I would rather wait until it is emissions legal here in CA. I bet that's one reason it's not here yet in the states.

Oh wow, thanks for sharing. Getting just the MPE might be an option if I can't secure it with MPPK at the port.

It's not yet available in UK...dealer says it is usually around 3 mths after Germany get them so probably Feb 2016...

That implies the MPE (if not also the MPPK) is already available as port option in US. Does anyone have the means to verify this?

This would be letdown for me, although it would also save me a couple grand. Somehow, someway I'll have to manage with "only" 320 HP and 330 pound-feet of torque.

A phone call to your friendly dealer can easily confirm this. But...

The picture I took above is from a port-installed MPE. The window sticker was a BMW sticker (in other words, not a modified sticker), and it wasn't a dealer add-on sticker. I'll try to fetch a picture of the entire sticker, if the client advisor still has it in his car.

But, like I stated, the window sticker showed a price of $1620 for the MPE.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have been hounding BMW about the PPK since my 340 is at port right now, and they finally got back to me -- "the kit won't be available until mid year."

Is the mid year estimate coming from BMW NA, or your local dealer?

It came from BMW directly, one of the regional distribution managers.

Yeah try ordering that now. You can't even get the exhaust as a VIA option currently, let alone the exhaust and DME. I tried, figuring at least if I got the exhaust at the port I could get the tune later. But nope.

I was wondering the same thing, I was ready to order one if it was the cat back system with two valves but the one that is currently available in the US is only the single valve axle back. So i guess ill be waiting to see if the cat back system comes out later.
