question about tires

plan to get the 20" wheels setup. But not sure What size tire should i get. Width of the wheels are 9" front, 10.5" back.

Is this setup right?
225/35/20, front
255/30/20, back

Or should i go for wider tires to fit the width of the wheels? Btw, i have a H&R sport springs setup.
Thanks for Any reply!

What are you trying to accomplish? Those tires will be very stretched at those widths...

For reference, I run 245/40/19 up front on an 19x8.5 +35 and 265/35/19 on the rear on a 19x9.5 +40; also on H&R sport

EDIT: Also, probably better luck in the wheels and tires section

for x-drive with 20x9 and 20x10.5, 245/30/20, 295/25/20

it'll be better if you get 20x8.5, 20x10 with 235/35/20, 275/30/20

My friend told me if i go for 245/35 front, 275/30 rear set up, it will mess up the xdrive/transmisson. He told me i should go for 225/35 front and 265/30 rear. Can anyone confirm this is true?
BTW, the rear wheel is 10J, not 10.5J
Thx for Any reply!

Again, you would have better luck in the wheels and tires section rather than general discussion. As I said above, a 225 is going to be stretched the F out on a 9" width. Google 225 on 9 inch to get an idea. They're your wheels and tires though so whatever you want..

Agree with earlier comments. There is also a question of whether a stretched tire could be a safety concern ...

Also, 20" wheels with lower than 45 aspect ratio tires and Toronto potholes are a match made in hell.
