F30 328i exhust tips

Hi guys, i am out of town so i can not measure at this moment. Has anybody with a 328i w/m performance bumper, replaced the exhaust tips. I am curious if i can go for 3.5in tips side by side. I do not want to go with the m performance tips. they look small to me. Thanks!

I bought the E90 slide on tips from BMS and was able to slip them over the stock tips.

Ohh cool! Do you have a picture from behind the car? Also, do you know what size tips they are?

Aftermarket eBay slip on tips. Even have etched ///M logos on them. These have served me incredibly well.

I run the 3" MPE tips, but have been looking for bigger ones for a while now, with no luck. I don't know that there's any options bigger than 3"

Are those the ones that say: "Does not fit any F chassis vehicles"?

Excuse the dirty car. haven't washed it in a few weeks. put these on about 6 months ago and they still shine like new once cleaned.

those are the ones. I figured for $24 if I couldn't make them fit, oh well. they slid on just fine over the stock tips.

There are 3.5 inch options if you look hard enough.

Interesting, guess I didn't look hard enough. Not worth the upgrade from 3" for me but good to know it exists.

I have a 328i. These may not fit side by side. But they may fit a 335i.

Awesome thanks for the tip bro! This is why I love Bimmerpost I just ordered the gloss black for my Mineral Gray Metallic 328i. Stoked!

For $25 it’s worth a try either way. I may order both polished and black.

But I’m still trying to see if 2 3.5in tips side by side would fit.

Judging by the picture above with the measuring tape, I would doubt it. They look pretty close and those are 3"

I think you are right. 3.5 isn’t going to work.

Thanks Dylan,

I've been wondering about these tips for a while, so I just ordered some!
$23. + $10. shipping.

awesome, yeah they look pretty darn good. the trick to getting them to fit over the stock tips is to remove one of the tensile clips inside the tip. there are 4. I just wiggled one back and forth a couple of times and it came right off with a clean snap. then take the OE tip off. I put a phone book down at the base of it. then took the BMS tip in both hands. put all my weight onto it and it slid right on.

Yes. Slid on perfectly and snugly without modifications.

Have been on for at least 30k miles and never had an issue with them being loose or rattling either.

Does anyone know the exhaust pipe diameter going into the tip? I’m guessing 2in but I won’t be home for another week to measure.

I like the way the double wall tips look and was thinking about ordering some clamp on 2in to 3in out double wall tips.

Twin 2.75" on sport line bumper. Kind of irrelevant, but I think it looks good lol.
