Pretty much looks like this.
He's probably thinking exterior door handle. There are affordable replacements & inserts for the sticky door pulls on eBay & aliexpress, documented here on the forum. Good luck!

he’s talking about the soft touch door pulls. They all do that eventually, and then start chipping chunks. you can replace with a plastic handle cover or replace the entire handle with aftermarket.

I bought my 2018 440i xDrive Gran Coupe about 8 months ago. It's black and beautiful. I have done 'Black out tint' on the rear window and the two small side panel windows. Here in New York - we have stupid tint laws and unless you know someone - it will fail on inspection now. I did the windows that I could - legally.

I added an awesome carbon fiber high top spoiler on the rear. And I think it looks awesome. What other people think - is their own business lol. It's MY car.

TODAY - I ordered the black replacement grills from BMW and will have them installed as soon as they come in (next week maybe?). On the BMW site, they said BMW dealer will install for $70. Due to the very cold weather and the breakable clamps, I will just have them install it at that price.

I have also ordered a full chrome delete kit. And I will do that in my Dad's garage in the spring when we get decent weather above 45F

After that - Black Rims maybe.

And . . I am contemplating the MPPSK addition this year. After researching many of the tune and sound options - this one made the most sense for my own needs in keeping the value of the car for resale (let's face it - nobody wants to buy a previously tuned car unless it was BMW tuned. Cause they KNOW you beat it to hell lol). The MPPSK is pricey for what it delivers. BUT - it delivers it safely and in a manner that will not negatively impact the integrity or the value of my 440i.

I think that will do it for me. I will be happy. No M Badges LOL. no 500 hp. But I still think my car is a beast on the road - even at stock.

Happy Friday Bimmer People !!

BingoTheClown ....the MPPSK is totally worth it.

I was on the fence like you last year and do not regret doing it! By far the best OEM mod for our cars. Plus, it keeps the OEM warranty. That is the number 1 reason why I got it but the other one was, its valved. I can keep the valves closed then open them up for party mode. The sound is addicting and I love every minute of it while I am driving. There is a MPPSK thread in the B58 section that is worth the read.

Best of luck and great looking BMW.

Thank you! Great to hear. My Dealer has quoted me about $4,600 (parts, labor, coding and install) which seems a bit high compared to what others have paid. But I don't have many BMW dealers locally so I will probably have to bend over and just take it haha.

Thanks for your reply. It's good to see others who have it and love it. Makes me feel better. I will check out the other thread too!

You are welcome!

That price seems a little high. I know you can buy the whole exhaust and tune from getbmwparts.com for a hair over $2500. Install should be about $300-$600 depending on dealer then plus tax. See if they can price match.

Anyways, let us know what you decide! It's awesome! Make sure to get the carbon fiber tips..they look great!

This is the breakdown of what my local BMW dealer quoted me for MPPSK (and I am not even sure if this was for the carbon fiber tips or not)

Labor 529
parts 3289
Tax 305
4123
Programming 283 + 23 tax
$4,429 Total.

I will look into getbmwparts.com and see if I can use that to negotiate when the time comes. Probably about 6 months out from it (stashing funds away each payday for it so I don't dip into savings for fun stuff).

So I have the MPPSK.

Started the car earlier to move it out of the garage and a loud, brittle rattling noise was coming from the exhaust. It actually startled me a bit, sounded almost like a loose clamp or nut or something just rattling under cold start.

I tried looking underneath after I pulled it out and sticking my foot in random places onto the exhaust in hopes of isolating where the rattling was coming from. And then after a few minutes the rattling stopped as if nothing happened, and hasn't come back this evening.

Anyone else experience this before?

Trying to figure out why my top is stuck down... Don't get me wrong, I love to go topless, but when it is below freezing outside, it makes for a chilly ride. Even with the heater, seats, steering wheel, and neck heater on full blast.
Dang loading assist button is blinking... But it works like it is supposed to. I'll keep searching the forums.

If the sytem thinks your boot is open it will not start the closing process. But I guess you checked this. Did you check the fuses?

Do you have an air blower, for a keyboard? I had similar and dust on a couple contacts was the issue for me. Hit up all the points in the trunk area. I have an E93.

There are a number of them. A cloth is ok too.

With the frigid cold in new england my f30 has been asking for more coolant. Going to add that today to see if I can top it off. Any need to drain the system?

During this winter Holiday - Installed the m performance brake kit along with Stainless Steel brake lines, powder coated the original 400m wheels hyper black.

First time ever working on brakes, the worst part was bleeding the brake lines - had to do it twice and still the brake pedal felt mushy and inconsistent. Had to take it to an indy shop where they bled the brake system again. Brake pedal feels great and spot on now.

Will never attempt anything like this ever again!!!
Hey that looks awesome!! Love those on your car. Great job! Sorry missed this post. Orange is the new blue!!!!
