Camber plates?

About to switch from bags to ST XA coilovers and I’ll need camber plates. Are there any other options than ground control? They’re half the price of the coilovers at $550.

Car will be used for canyons on the weekend, will never see the track. Thanks!

their are a few options but they seem to be in that range or higher. have you tried e-mailing ST to see if they have the XTA line available for the F3x? I know it's not listed on their website, but maybe they can build them if you're willing to wait, and it looks like they come with camber plates for not a lot more than the XA's.

I've been running Millway camber plates for around 10k-ish miles (could be 15k now) and they've been solid. They have a street version of their plates available now as well which require less maintenance than the race version that I have (poly vs monoball). I'd recommend either one. There's a thread for Millway plates if you do a search. A handful of us are running the race and at least one person is running the street.

I called ST the other day and they told me they do not offer coilovers with camber plates for the F32.

Appreciate the quick response guys! I’ll look into the Millways..

Just checked Millways website and their street plates are the same as GC’s at $550.

you can also try other than F3x's classified section seeing as how they list fitting "F20 F21 F22 F30 F31 F32", so maybe try hitting up the 1 and 2 series section also?

Why will you "need" camber plates?

Ok, that wasn't clear from your original post. I didn't see any reason the ST XA alone should require camber plates.

The Millway Street camber plates are $465 shipped (the $550 price is for EU with VAT). Buy quality, and be happy.

Just got off the phone with Apex and I might not need camber plates with a 9.5” et33 ARC-8 front wheel. I guess I can always get them after the wheels and coilovers are fitted if I need to tweak the fitment.

Thanks all..

You should be okay without them. I ran a 9" wide at +29 for a while without them without issues. That's a similar spec to your setup (2mm more poke). I run plates not for fitment but for track use.

No you won't be okay without them. I'm on the exact same boat right now.
ST XA coilvers with 18x9.5 +33 square set up.
I'm rubbing on the front and it's driving me nuts.
I'm trying to stay away from camber plates so I have a corner balance appointment coming up. But if that doesn't fix the rubbing issues, I'm going with the Ground Control camber plates.

I'll report back once I get the car corner balanced but as of now, I am definitely rubbing.

Just for context, I'll leave a picture of how it looks right now with 18x9.5 +33 on the front with 255/40 Michelin PS4S.
I didn't have rubbing issues on my setup when I was lowered on KW V1s or B14s. IIRC, you're also only rubbing on one side which could a number of reasons to why.

If you're looking for plates, you should also check out Millways as they have a street plate that's quieter than the normal monoball type plates. There's a thread on both race and street plates if you're interested.

He's not necessarily at the same lowered height as you. That would avoid rubbing for you right off the bat.

yea, if you want to stay at that height, plates will take care of your rubbing issue. I know it seems like a waste because you wouldn't need that much camber to clear.

Just so you are aware, adjusting your alignment, particularly camber, will affect your ride height which can impact your corner balance numbers. It may not be significant but it bugged me when i did it.

once the bearings in my plates die, I'll be in the same boat...looking at millway, looks like a quality piece.

Both vorshlag and GC have mixed reviews so don't know i would put my money down for either. GC should be ok for street, and they do have lots of support but it is also hit or miss.

True. Just visually comparing from the photos and he looks about the same height as I was on stock b14s and slightly higher than I was on V1s. That's why I'm surprised that he's rubbing at all. When we chatted over text, he said he raised a bit and only rubs on big bumps now. So that's some progress at least.

What size front tires are you running? Also, are your front fenders rolled?

Thought there wasn't much to roll on this platform. Maybe that's just my car.

The fronts should definitely have a little lip. The rears are pretty much flat already.

To be honest I would rather spring for camber plates. On my WRX the fronts were rolled/pulled so aggressively, it kinda ruined the look of the whole car for me, that's all I could think of when I looked at it.
