bmw F30 335i Xdrive

Hi everybody,
I’m new to the forum and to BMW and have a question to ask you!
I just purchased my 2013 335i Xdrive M pack and needed to buy summer tires.
I realized the stock tire requirements is 225/40/19 for the front and 255/35/19 for the rear AFTER I purchased some tires!

The front tires I bought are Michelin Pilot SuperSports size 235/35/19
Whereas my rear are 255/35/19

I’d like to know if it’s safe for my xDrive system to run with those front tires. Would anybody be kind enough to help out?

The mags i have are 269 M performance mags, front: 8J x 19; rear 9J x 19

Also, my car is dropped by an inch on H&R springs!!!
I’d really appreciate if someone could help!!!

I traded my 2013 335 Xdrive a couple years ago and as far as I know they come in a square ser up and not staggered. Previous owner has gone to wider tires in the back and I don't think it's going to hurt the Xdrive function so I'd think you may be ok with your new tires...

Don't think it will work, hold on there's a rolling diameter calculator somewhere I've seen.... brb

See below, I believe for x drives the rolling diameter shouldn't be greater than 1%

I haven't had to replace my tires yet as I just bought my 435 xdrive not long ago and I'm still tryin to figure this issue myself as rims and offsets and so forth matter in this measurement as well.
Use www.willtheyfit.com to check the specs of ur setup and post the data when you can

Alright! Thanks guys, I have a feeling it’s not going to be healthy for the Xdrive... I’m probably going to end up selling them locally and get myself the exact recommended tire dimensions to remain on the safe side.
Thanks!

When you are doing your calculations avoid the generic measurements on the sidewall. Go to TireRack's website and get the real world measurements in the specs section of the actual tires that you are considering. Read posts from alohasurftoad too. He has some great stuff on wheels/tires.

I just got Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires. Just amazing!
Have fun!

That's a 2% diameter difference and I would NOT run it. I would use tiresize.com/calculator/ before you buy the new tires. I just got tires for my xdrive (235/35/19 & 275/30/19) and they fit despite me not being too happy with the sidewall height. Already bent the one wheel slightly after 2 weeks of being on the car.... Good luck!

oem staggered 225/40/19, 255/35/19 fits perfectly on 8" and 9" and their 0.4% diameter difference will cause no issues for the x-drive transfer case.

in descending order from the best...michelin pilot sport 4s > continental extremecontact sport > general gmax rs, falken azenis fk510, firestone firehawk indy 500. the last three UHPS are kind of all equal. gmax rated highest per test, firestone rated highest by customers.

you may also go a tick up in size 235/40/19, 265/35/19, however your tire choices are kinda limited to the MPS4S and Contininteal ExtremeContact Sport and both are much more expensive at this size.
