Version 1.4.0 is out! Made some tweaks to the script and more importantly, found that (Avast) antivirus interferes with predating system folders. Self-Protection (not shields) needs to be deactivated and can be reactivated after running the script!

Disable (Avast) Self-Protection and you'll probably be OK.

I haven't tested earlier versions of the Launcher. Generate a new token and open in Notepad. Check the ValidBefore and ValidAfter dates in the header. Does your system date fall in between these dates? That's the only thing I can think of. Otherwise, I have no idea.

my sys date is in valid value, but still no good. trying premium 2.7.1, but it asks activation key, and I had no answer from TM in summer, so used 2.5.3

I think, i should try premium 2.6.2 build 124, but i can't find correct source to download from. Can I ask you for link?

UPD. 2.6.2 version asks activation code as well as 2.7.1. damn it

If you're not on a virtual machine, I've read about a solution for activation as well. Had something to do with changing your system language. Google it.

Thanks for the great tool! it would be wonderful if it was possible that you run *.bat or *.exe and it does everything automaticly (turns back date, cleans up launcher, runs it and then restores date to present), don't know if it's possible though..

Thank you. I thought about that, but maybe not everyone wants to go back to the same date. And it also depends on the Launcher version how far you can go back.

Also, restoring the date to present after running the Launcher is possible. However, you'll likely end up having to use my script everytime you start the Launcher as Windows system folders will be updated to present date pretty fast as you're working. After that, the Launcher will detect a date manipulation.

Since the script suffices my needs I thought it was best to keep it the way it is.

Probably of limited use but FYI my esys (3.2.7) and launcher (2.4.3.85) runs on an old XP laptop

Just setting the date back before starting the launcher works fine with no need to run Tony's script

I know XP is ancient but as it will never connect to the internet and esys etc (at least my versions) run fine then I dont see an issue.

Just coded a 2016 car without any problems

I had old version on an XP laptop also, but for some reason was unable to code my 2017 440i. When I went to update the launcher, my laptop was not compatible, so had to put it on my Win 10 laptop.

Older Launchers have limited or no date checking and allow for predating your system clock. However, they offer no support for the latest psdzdata files, which you need for coding the latest cars.

Premium Launcher 2.7.1 already lacks support for the very latest E-sys and psdzdata files. In time this necessitates migration to other solutions like E-sys Launcher Pro or BMWaicoder (too bad development seems to have stopped for that one, it was very promising).

I'm on windows 10 with just the standard Windows Defender Antivirus disabled, so no Avast, running as admin, i turned off all security - Windows Firewall, Windows Defender Antivirus. [Edit: And I'm using v 1.5, on the desktop of admin user] Any ideas? Many thanks

Can you do something for me:
1. Run the script again
2. Right after running it, open a command prompt and type:
dir c:\programdata /tc /a
What date is mentioned for the directory . (single dot)?
3. Now do:
dir c:\programdata /tw /a
What date is mentioned now for . (single dot)?
4. Now open Explorer and go to the folder where you installed my package. Open the Tools-folder. Right-click on RearmLauncher.cfg and select Properties. Can you give me the Last Changed date please?

First off, thanks for the script!!

I'm having an issue with the EST token. I've tried deleting the freetoken.est and recreating it but keep getting the "an error occured while processing the EST file" when trying to read FDL code.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm running the 2.6.2 with psdzdata 63.
