Leaving a JB+ Installed for Daily Driving???

After admiring BMWs for a long time, I recently purchased a 2013 328i with 50K on it. I am already discovering the endless mods that are available for these cars.

I am sure this has been beaten to death already on this forum, (my search function doesn't seem to be working) but does anyone, or everyone have a JB+ installed, and leave it installed for daily driving, trips, etc.???

I am aware it is technically a closed course race tune, but I don't know if that is a hard & fast rule.

Help?

I have had my jb4 for the past two years on my DD and have no issues whatsoever.

The JB+, JB Stage 1 or the JB4 is fine for everyday driving

I have a 2013 328i too. I had a JB4 installed for DD until very recently, where I took it off for dealer service and ultimately sold it since I plan to flash tune.

Yes - once I installed my JB+, it's remained on the car. No reason to remove it, as it's a pretty mild tune. I'm still under extended warranty, and I might remove it if I had some sort of issue that could be covered by that, but just for the dealership visit.

I actually took my FBO (jb4, catless, etc...) car to the dealership post warranty for one of those inspection checks and they never once mentioned my mods and any codes whatsoever.

I'm not sure I understand the question? If it wasn't on for daily driving, what would it be on for? I mean how many guys actually track their cars?

I have been running JB+ for almost 2 years with no problems, day in and day out and I leave it on when I bring the car in for service.

I ran stage 1 tune on my 320i before this car, for 3 years and drove the hell out of that thing, always left it on for service, and I had zero problems.

There is no 'rule'. Throw the thing on and have a good time. Transforms the car.

I think the official disclaimer on their site says it's meant for track use only. I think this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone even considering following that rule.. Lol

I think that disclaimer is meant for CA. I love my JB+ 6 month with no issues.

It just means they won't sell it to people in CA because of emissions CARB regs. I ordered mine from a 3rd party vendor, no prob. Stage 1 on my last car I actually got from burger headquarters in simi and the main dude installed it for me. Right after that they did the whole 'race use only' non-CA bullshit. Wouldn't roll in this car without it. I frankly wouldn't drive any car with a forced induction motor, stock. Ridiculously easy and inexpensive to push more power. Ive been doing this for almost a decade in various cars and never had any problems with dealers, warranty, reliability, etc.

JB+ if u test on dyno to confirm claims they make is false..
Tried 2 units on both my cars M240i / 440I ..
Both made less than oem on top & jus +- 2wkw in midrange ..

Go JB4 .. never use it but hear its the way ..

How do you figure its 'false'?
This dyno shows a gain of 24hp and over 30lb ft of torque, at the wheels.

Not bad for a $200 plug and play tuner, Id say.

There was a day where that kind of gain cost literally thousands of dollars to obtain.

Many dyno charts are available online from third parties showing it does deliver on advertised gains. Regardless, the butt dyno doesn't lie, zero chance it is making less power anywhere. Also, the performance improves over a few days driving, if you were just hot swapping for dyno runs it's likely not to deliver full benefits.
