[MTL] Lowering springs installed price
Hi
I'm looking forward to get some lowering springs installed. H&R sport on my BMW 335i xdrive 2013 I got a quote 928$ CAD + taxes (installation + springs) I find it a bit pricy, I was thinking more about 600/700 all in. what you guys think thanks |

FYI- unless you have Adaptive suspension, the drop from those H&R springs is going to bottom out and quickly destroy your stock dampers. Best to install at same time either Koni yellow (adjustable for comfort) or Bilstein B8 which are fixed. Both can handle the drop

It has M Sport brakes only if they are blue. Adaptive Suspension would be listed as a separate line item on the window sticker or on an mdecoder type of factory equipment listing. A dealer parts department should be able to tell you if you give them your VIN. Ignore whatever you see on the dash screen. It will not tell you if you have Adaptives. They all look like that even if they have stock shocks. Physically you can tell if you remove a wheel and clearly see an electrical harness plugged into the strut or shock. |

Got quoted 367 +tax at VAG Motorsport. 3.5 hours of work $105/hr labour.
That seemed fair to me, and I believe they are highly recommend in the area, with a great facility. Also their customer service seemed top notch so far. I'm likely going to go with them. I bought VOGTLAND lowering springs for my 435xi. Lowers the car about 0.8 inches. Which I was comfortable with considering the road conditions here, and it's my first experience lowering. |

like suggested above, make sure lowering it with springs will not destroy your stock struts which is a thing that often been mentioned. Maybe consider adding some aftermarket shocks to have a perfect suspension setup. however I'd be curious to see your drop when they'll be installed. |

Good to know! I actually hadn't considered that. So from what I read above, this isn't going to be an issue if I have adaptive suspension? I'm at the dealership now, getting an issue fixed, going to ask if it's equipped or not. Crossing fingers.
Edit: I'm getting it lowered in the spring but I'll share some pics after it's done |
